116

ICM is working on another large scale figure in 1/16th scale and this time it is the US Military Special Forces getting some coverage with a Delta Force Operator.
1/16th scale figures have always appealed to me but at the same time scared me as painting faces in this scale requires a lot of practice and perseverance to get right. Well I have one under my belt now and while not of the painting skill level I have seen from others I was pleased with my efforts. So with this figure on its way I am rather keen to see how it actually turns out after production. The stance on the box art looks good but a little odd in the images, I suspect it is just a case of a poorly chosen angle. The angle does not allow for a good look at the facial features either. Regardless this figure will I suspect garner interest as 1/16th scale figures are hard to come by and can be very expensive as they are often in resin. Anyway I see an ICM offering of a Delta Force Operator in my future.

Not convinced it's just an angle thing with the pose...

I agree, his pose doesn't look right to me either. Al

The reason I thought it may just be the angle is if you look at the second of the three images the stance looks right and so I do think it is a perception issue.

I don't know. Looks like his diet of MRE's is hitting him pretty hard, maybe that's just me.

I dunno, it just looks to me like he's doing some kinda Funky Dance. Al

Note the most natural stance I agree and could be the result of being taken out of context.

Context is the key here I agree. Stick him beside a shot-up wall/vehicle for a visual cue and it will probably look perfectly natural and normal. I am also sure I'd take a similar pose ( or worse ) if in the line of fire...

He will probably get a few companions later just like the SWAT guys of ICM and than the anatomy would not look so odd when there is interaction between the figures (or let's hope so).
