New kit of the first Yugoslav tank, the Vehicle A
Only five of this Vehicle A were built after the war, based on the T-34.

The kit will be in resin with photoetch parts, and is expected for September.

They could have chosen a better image to show the differences from the T-34. Images "borrowed" from this article: LINK Note the redesigned turret and the angled corners between the upper glacis and the sloping upper hull sides. / Robin

Interesting concept that was cancelled after first deliveries of M4A3E4 Shermans and M47 Pattons to Yugoslavioa in early 50's. The tank resembled a lot to T34, it shared the same 85mm gun. Turret was heavily redesigned, and upper glacis was reshaped - this could be scratchbuilt by skilled modellers, but the turret is still a challenge. The armament is a testimony to what Yugoslavia could muster at the time: main gun was Soviet 85mm, AAMG was US M2HB, whereas coaxial and/or hull MG was German 7,9mm MG42. Five were produced for a May day parade, one was cut to pieces and (i believe) still in Banja Luka where it was exposed as a educational item for military. The only one preserved is located in Belgrade military museum (colored pictures that Robin showed).

I still have the original release of this vehicle from Navigator. Based on the old RPM T-34/85 with new resin parts for the upper hull, turret, etc. Actually a pretty decent kit. Given that the lower hull and suspension is from a T-34, I'm surprised they wouldn't release this as a conversion for Dragon or Academy T-34s. It would keep the price down, probably make it easier to build and attract more buyers.

Interesting, though that commander's cupola would have made a nasty shot trap. I'd like to see a build review and learn more about the kit and the company that offers it.

Nice, not very many built, but not a paper panzer, I'll probably get one!
