Maybe this subject deserves its own thread. I miss those kits.

Well, shucks. All these years thinking I'd use that Mi-10 and it turns out it was not used there. But the 1:144 Mi-6 looks to fit the bill perfectly.

This is really cool! I'd love it if they released a series of figures and equipment used there. Prime diorama material.

You're in luck. In addition to the Zil offered here, the 131 Fire Truck is also available this year in 1/35 as the AC-40-137A, as well as many other standard trucks. Also used were BRDMs, BTR's, and even a few of the helicopters are available in 1/35 - the Mi-8 and Mi-24. The others used are all available in smaller scales.

And, Linden Hill do an Rkhr conversion for the Mi 24, as seen at Chernobyl, too. There are also decals available, which I have and can attest to their quality. It is my aim to complete that this year. Along with a number of shelf queens.... I think it is Corsa Rex who do a 1/35 Soviet NBC soldier; and there the 1/16 Studio 51 figure of the same subject. Plenty to get you started with.

You might have added that you did a nice review of the 1/35 conversion. Imagine a company doing a conversion in three scales?
