DG Artwork expands their 20th Century War Series of figures with a 101st Airborne, WW2 figure in 1/24 scale.

Nice looking figure (though 1/24 scale standalone figures aren't my thing). That said, looking at the current selection of aftermarket WWII US figures, you'd think the entire US Army was made up of paratroops.

I noticed that as well. Maybe he's supposed to use those 1911 mags since he appears to have no sidearm. I guess he just loads them one at a time into the Thompson, As for the figure, at first glance it seems the pockets are correct - that's usually the first thing they get wrong. But the helmet looks rather small, as does the frag. Once again though, the boot heels are not correct. They should not be squared off on the front, but angled. This kept shroud lines from getting hung up on them.

Must be the angle but the Thompson seems somehow "off"; can't put my finger on it. The lack of plentiful mags is a grim joke.
