Several weeks ago, we ran the advance news of the launch of a new company - Vision Models. Here's the first images of their BA-64.
VM35002 - WWII Russian BA-64 Armoured Car

As can be seen from the images, the model is quite clearly into the 'test-stage' and we'll be updating as we get more.

Finally, to repeat my comments in the first report on Vision Models:

Any vendor reading this who want to know more can e-mail me and I will pass on your details to the distributor!

Our thanks to Vision Models for the update!

I've always wanted to build one of these little vehicles. From the pics I've seen so far of their two kits, they seem to be of pretty good qyality. Any idea when we might start seeing them available? Thanks Hisham

Nice! What country is this company from? This is one of my favorite AC. Ever since I saw some pics of North Korean BA64, I always wanted to make one. Unfortunately I don't have time to build kits anymore...

A russian company used to make a BA-64. I am not sure how good it was. But we now get kits of some lesser known Russain WW2 vehicles.

Maquette and Eastern Express have released versions of the 'Bobik'. Don't know if they are from the same molds. We can only hope that it won't be in the same price range as the Roden Rolls Royce armoured car (or the Bronco Humber Scout Car for that matter) as I wouldn't mind getting a few of these. Cheers Andrew

Hey, this looks really nice! I've always been fond of this armored car, I'll have to get one. The first release of a kit of this car was by AER Moldova, later re-popped by other companies, and it is really thick and rough. Hopefully the Vision kit will be a joy to build. The only existing BA-64 in the Western Hemisphere is right next door to me at the Military Museum of Southern New England in Danbury, Connecticut. It's running and in mint condition! It's worth checking out if you're within driving distance.

Hey Matt. It was nice meeting you and working with you at AMPS this past month. You did a slam-bang job on the security front... Anyway, I was wondering if you have any photos of the BA-64 from the museum you could give me for posting on WarWheels.Net? I don't have many... If you do, I'll buy you a beer or five!

Hey Jim... nice new avatar you got there buddy... Anyway, good news on the BA-64. It's about friggin' time we get a decent model kit of this little beastie. I have my fingers crossed. I already have one plastic and two older resin kits of the 64 and they all suck so I haven't built them yet.

Hi Pat, Great to meet you, too! It's wierd "knowing" someone for a year or two before you meet them face to face, isn't it? The show was great, congrats to you, too, all the vendors I talked to were very happy! I am going to MMSNE in August, we're doing a club field trip there. I will shoot 50 or so reference photos for you and email them to you, no problem.
