First of all, my thanks to Terry Ashley for his assistance in this report.

Vulcan Scale Models are a completely NEW Manufacturer, who with their first release have announced something that many have been asking for for years:
The first release from the company will be:

56001 - Ordnance QF 2 Pounder British Anti-Tank Gun (Mark IX, Carriage type II)

The model will be in injection-moulded styrene and includes over 100 parts. NO crew figures are included, but the gun will be able to built in its towed or firing position.

With the 'Renaissance' that Early-War Allied Armor is enjoying, this new model will be very welcome in many sectors.

Details are, at the moment, sparse, but more will be coming out in the coming days!

Meanwhile, enjoy the images of this incredibly welcome release!

I've always liked the look of this gun. It just presses all the right buttons. Just a shame armour outclassed it so quick. a little but did the mount/carriage get used for any other weapons. It sort of reminds me of a 20mm AA mount I've seen somewhere (maybe post war and just...similar, but definitely allied) Tom

I have to agree with this, it was the worlds premier AT gun for 39-41 and had no problem with German Armour up until the arrival of the later Pz III & IV's. Everyone assumes it was no good from the outset but it could kill almost all the deployed German Armour it faced with ease until the Germans stated to up armour and more significantly up gun their Pz III & IV which gave them the ability to standoffs and kill them. If this kit is reasonably priced I see a lot of these in the collection and hope they go on to add the 6 pdr family to the frame. I think the AA you are thinking of is the single 20mm Polsten for Airborne use. Cheers Al

Very nice and may I add about time?! I have a picture of one of these mounted on a truck which would be a cool vignette.
