This year, at the Nuremberg Trade Fair, I had (as usual!) an extensive talk with the owner of Adalbertus, Wojtek Bulhak. One of the most interesting subjects he talked about was this - the first in a range of 1/35th scale figures covering ALL the combatants in the Cassino Campaign.
The company have just mailed us with details of the first of this exciting new figure range - the defenders of Monte Cassino.
Those troops were members of the German 1st Fallschirmjaeger Division.and will be the first subjects to be released:
ADB35011 - WW2 German paratrooper medic - Fallschirmjäger Sanitäter.
Decal contains rank insignia (Jäger - Hauptmann) for camouflage smock (Knochensack), and collars of Luftwaffe uniform jacket (Fliegerbluse), helmet M38 and Feldmutze cap. The (included) decal sheet contains insignia for over ten soldiers.
Included in the set is a field stretcher (folded), and alternative hands (including "hands up" position)
ADB35012 - WW2 German paratrooper (wounded) A decal sheet is ALSO included for this figure - details above.
35013 - WW2 German paratroopers Fallschirmjäger wounded and medic diorama. (INCLUDES Resin Base)
All the figures in this NEW range are sculpted by Maciej Pawlica and will be available from the end of May 2009. The decals are produced by TechMod.
Of course, with a project of this type, this is only the beginning. More figures are under preparation which will include Allied Infantry with decals for Poland, New Zealand, India and Canada (Battle of Ortona).
Finally, last, but cerainly NOT least, is the announcemnt of the second release in another NEW range of Modern Polish figures under the ToRo Model (Poland) label:
TM 35F24 - Leopard Tank Crew These figures are sculpted wearing their BLACK training fatigues. A set of decals are included with rank and national eagle insignia.
All these New releases can be obtained directly from the company's on-line store:
