Al[/quote] From what I've gathered, Dragon's more recent releases for German stuff hasn't exactly set the world on fire, so seeing something totally new is refreshing. Shows that they're paying attention to the market place. Compared to the other manufacturers, Dragon has better detail for the most part which also may explain the positive response. I think mostly it's because we're not seeing a kit with a guy pointing or a Panzer IV ausf-Z subtype X7 with one existing photo shot at a bad angle that shows a brand new tie rack a crewman got from his family for christmas mounted on the turret schurtzen (Pat, got the hint about the emoticaons). This is really a great looking set & hopefully more of this type are in the pipeline.

Thanks for the responses guys. In terms of poses is there a market for figures of any nation "digging in"? Though, as I said Im not a WW11 modeller I know enough about that period to know that during long periods of the war front lines could be very static (think the months after d-day and long periods of 44 and 45 in Italy) and most troops on the front line would have spent time in a trench. Almost any photo of british infantry in NW Europe after about july 44 will show most carry shovels and pick axes because of the importance of being able to dig in quickly. Cant think of any figures set that represents troops in "combat situation" digging in.

Miniart have a set of Germans and Brits digging in, but I'm not sure if they're released yet.

These figures look superb and are very much to my taste. Action figures don't normally fit well into diorams. Most troops spent more time in mundane situations than actually fighting anyway. I hope that Dragon doesn't do its usual trick and produce set after set of German subjects and throw in a few allied pieces later on ( There were two sides to WWII ! ) One reason I buy more Miniart figures is because they are currently producing some excellent long overdue British and allied figures

IMO that's all in the eye of the beholder. Despite the figure set names, in most cases the DML figures are generic - don't let the fancy box titles mislead you. And actually I think that's half the problem - is that people read the DML product title and don't read more into. Suddenly a fairly generic set of, for example, Stalingrad figures becomes "only" suitable for that battle and no other. Once again, all in the eye of the beholder - it depends on personal preferances. I happen to like most of DMLs recent releases, but then the Third Reich is my area of interest. Why not? German subjects is what DMLs good at. I'd rather have some good quality German stuff than some mediocre Allied subjects.
