introduction
After the first kit
B6-35108 U.S. Tank Commander depicting Sergeant Wardaddy character acted by Brad Pitt of Fury movie,
BRAVO-6 released two more kits for the rest of M4A3E8 Sherman crew.
One of these kits ,
B6-35109 U.S. Tank Crew(2) 1944-45, includes two tanker figures sitting on the hull in typical World War II U.S. tank crew uniforms.
box
Figures come in a brown cardboard box labeled with a photo of the assembled and painted figures. Body and other parts like heads and arms are inserted seperately into two small plastic zip-lock bags.
figures
Each figure is sculpted in crisp details and cast in grey resin as four pieces - body, head and two arms. Resin quality is very good and casting is superb. No air bubbles, flesh resin, casting mistakes or visible seamlines. Cleanwork is NOT required other than removing casting blocks easily. Note that some attention is needed to remove the casting block on neck part of Figure A.
FIGURE - A
Figure is posed to sit on the hull of tank. Over his OD wool sweater, he wears
tanker overalls. This mustard brown trousers were made of cotton shell and wool blanket lining, cut in the style of bib-overalls. It has attachment hardware in front and suspender adjustment clips. There are
short openings at the trotters of each leg to facilitate putting on or removing the trousers with the boots on, along with a two position snap closure. Cloth folds, details of the overalls and short boots are well defined.
Facial details are extremely well defined showing great alikeness to Grady 'Coon-Ass' Travis acted by John Bernthal. I liked regulation hair cut very much. Hair is clipped very short all across the sides and back of the head whereas the top of the head is left longer. Details are very crisp that will show the painting so good.
Arms are posed to put his hands on the hull on both sides of the body. He has
M1938 Airborne Gloves and rolled up sleeves are well defined.
FIGURE - B
Posed to sit on the hull of Sherman, he wears Army Dark shade M41 HBT trousers in OD color with cargo pockets secures with single button and short boots. Over his uniform, he has windbreaker design, zipper front
2nd Pattern Tanker Jacket. It was a waist cut, medium weight jacket and different than the 1st pattern with two external patch pockets, this one had two hand warmer style slash pockets. Cloth folds and details like wool knit collar, waistband, cuffs and zipper are very well defined. Right hand of the figure is cast on the left thigh due to his sitting position.
Facial details are great on this figure too. Facial details, moustache and goater beard are well defined showing great alikeness to and Trini 'Gordo' Garcia acted by Michael Pena. He wears a
HBT cap.
Left arm is posed to put his hand on the hull and right arm to put to his left thigh. Places to paint corporal rank patch on the right, insignia and rank patches on the left are marked on the figure.
conclusion
Both figures absolutely look like the characters on the movie. They are great figures to create a Fury movie scene and they can also be used as any WW II tank crew with a head replacement as heads are supplied as seperate parts.
