The Wehrmacht fought during the winter while battling the Russians in the East. To keep warm the German Army issue winter wear and a new figure from Corsar Rex has a member of the Wehrmacht dressed for the cold.

The figure comes in two main parts, body with arms and head, also included are a weapon and accessories.
Review
This new figure from Corsar Rex represents a Wehrmacht soldier dressed for winter. The figure is cast in a light grey resin, and looks to be very well detailed. The figure comes in two parts, the body with the arms cart in place and the head with helmet on. On the body, most of the accessories are molded on with the exception of the canteen and a binocular case, which are separate. The detail looks good, including the shovel tucked into the belt at the front. A Russian PPHS 41 is included for the figures weapon, a captured trophy. It is meant to be slung across the front of the figure, but the sling is not represented. A little strip of masking tape should resolve this. The weapon does look good, but also looks to be a little fragile as where the stock meets the gun it is a little thin.
The head and helmet are also well cast, with a helmet cover cast detail on helmet, and what looks to be a cold weather mask. The facial detail is well done, while the low riding helmet may make it a little difficult to paint around the eyes.
The canteen and binocular case look good but will need a little clean up as there is some flash present. While there is an indentation on the figure for the mounting of the canteen, there is none for the binocular case, and no indication as to where it would be mounted.
A couple of nice touches on the figure include the gloves attached to the belt and a small tear detail cast into the pants.
Overview
This new German winter dressed figure from Corsar Rex looks to be well done and should be right at home in a winter scene. The details are well done, including the face and accessories. The figure does lack the sling for the weapon to match the pose, but this is an easy fix. I highly recommend this figure for a diorama or vignette.

Thanks for the detailed review, Kevin. Unfortunately for those of us in the States, this line apparently isn't selling and I can find a reliable source for them. CR suggested a dealer in Germany, but the shipping was 2x the cost of the figure.
The figure is definitely wearing an SS helmet cover and what looks like the SS camo face mask on the helmet, an arrangement of dangling strings which shielded the face commonly used by snipers.
