This set contains one sheet with dry transfer German Armor Nationality Crosses. There are 72 crosses in various sizes. 13 of these are the solid white crosses, in three different sizes, which were used during the Polish campaign. The Armor crews were however convinced that enemy AT gunners used them as targets, and proceded to paint them out, either completly or just the middle, leaving the wel known white outline cross shape.
The remaining 59 crosses are of this variety, in 8 different sizes and styles. Unfortunately the print is in white only, so there are no crosses with the added black outline or inside included. The white outline crosses were a standard design during 1940-1942, from 1943 onwards the black cross with white outline becoming the standard.
The dry transfers are protected by a backing sheet, which adheres well to the carrier film.. as I found out when I did my first one... If you do it right however, the dry transfers come of the carrier film with some gentle rubbing, and have a nice, dull 'painted on' texture. The transfers can even be applied to textured surfaces. The carrier film is flexible enough to rub into even fine textures like Zimmerit. The black part will have to be painted in that case, but if you paint the black first and then add the transfer, you should have a very acceptable result.
I you want a good alternative to 'wet' decals, these are well worth checking out at
