Good day!

I've joined in as well, and am planning on building a Sd.Kfz. 253 le Beob.Pz.Wg. from Dragon. Too bad that most of the interior won't be seen, lots of radios and a periscope in there. I'll have to keep the door/hatches open anyway.

Looking forward to the campaign, it's my first!

Cheers!

Please please please tell me a M1A2 or M1A1H is considered enough of a command and control vehicle if it has the CITV, CIP, and APU equipped for this campaign.

I went out and bought the M1A2 Operation Iraqi Freedom Tamiya 1/35 today. I was biting my nails thinking if it would qualify with the systems.

Does it?

Well, it has been over 60 days since I have tried to get a Verlinden Engima kit for my T-55. I think I am just going to build an Israeli Tiran (which is what I bought the kit for in the first place). However, I am not sure it will qualify as a "command" vehicle.

Does anybody have any tips on how I can sqeeze it into this campaign.

Thanks.

Gallery space has been assigned as well,

Good luck

Have a question regarding the location of the Gallery Space for this campaign. I looked for it under the KitMaker website and came up empty. Any help would be appreciated, as I finished the 253 I was working on.

Cheers!

Damn,...... It starts to look as if my 251/18 isn't a 251/18, but a modified 251/3 or /6... Well, at least it still fotts within the context of this campaign..

The most promonent exteriorparts are done, but I am having a lot of trouble figuring out the interior. I'll upload a few more pics one of these days...

What about the rest of you?? Still building???

I am waiting for my PE zimmerit for my Tiger 1 (P) panzerbefehlswagen. Until that arrives I cannot continue. So far I have only done some work on the suspension.

I will update my build with pictures when there is more to show.

I enlisted today for this Campaign, I'm doing a Stryker 1130 as a command vehicle, and depending on how soon my second kit arrives I may try to do it as a TACP vehicle. Already got building on the 1130 today, the suspension is attached minus the PE and I also have started on the upper hull as well. As much as I miss the Navy being retired definitely has its' advantages...more time to build!!!

I am making progress on my Tiger (P) befehlspanzer. Finally I got my Eduard PE set for the zimmerit and started yesterday. It seems to go on rather well although the zimmerit seems to be made for the "old" Dragon Tiger (P) while I am doing the Premium edition of the kit. Anyway, it will not be too difficult to adjust.

The hull machine gun is a little fantastic kit in itself made up from 8 parts. It looks really good and I almost feel sorry to close it up in the hull of the Tiger never to be seen again. At least I will know it is in there.

How is everybody else doing?

I have made a little more progress on my Tiger (P) befehlspanzer. The kit is quite good, but the zimmerit set from Eduard is not ideal and it is difficult to apply properly to the tank. Anyway, things are progressing.

Another update from me. This tread is turning into my personal tread of my Tiger (P) Befehlspanzer How is everybody else doing?

I have now completed constrution. I had a few problems with the PE zimmerit, especially on the turret side, but overall it worked out okay. Some of the kit PE parts caused me some troubles - especially the rear engine grilles that seems to be very difficult to align and glue properly.

Next is some finishing of details filling a few gaps between the armour and the zimmerit and then for painting. Choice of markings and camouflage scheme is rather straight forward as only one of these beasts were ever used in action.

More updates to follow...

Hello Jesper,
Your unusual looking beast is impressive...
Amd as far as your personal thread is concerned.... just wait & see!
I have to redo part of the interior, because of the lack of references at the time of beginning. Offcourse one allways gets that when the job is (allmost) done...

Thanks, Ron. Appreciate it When I finish the Tiger (P) I will take a photo of the Tiger (P) next to the "standard" Tiger I. They look very different although the turret is of course nearly identical.

I am looking forward to see more of your Sd.Kfz. 251. Judging from your build list you are a Sd.Kfz. 251 expert - or you are on the way to becoming an expert.

Oh man I'd love to build a modern Dutch command vehicle, like the brand new Boxer:

No scale model of that one available

That is one mean looking vehicle, but it would be a massive job to scratchbuild one of those. Very cool looking vehicle anyway.

Another update on my Tiger (P) befehlspanzer. After the basecoat I filled some cracks an holes with green stuff. The PE zimmerit leaves some "unnatural" and unrealistic gaps soe places that needs to be filled. Next is the basecoat of sand and then two colour camouflage.

More to follow....

Another update on my Tiger (P). The base coat and the camouflage pattern is now on. I am pretty satisfied with the result. You never really know what you are going to end up with when you start on the German three colour camouflage. After that I applied a light coat of paint mixed with pigments and sand to the suspension. Next is the detail painting, decals and weathering.

Anyway, here are the pictures.

wow Jesper.... Your buildingspeed is way up there... What gear are you in?

Looks good so far, with 1 remark. It's just that the camouflage looks.... I don't know.. Somehow it doesn't look quite right, but it may be just me..

Well, if it is the camouflage pattern that does not look right, there is not much to do about it. Maybe the pattern stands out too much because it is not weathered yet? Anyway, I will post pictures of the finished model later. It will be interesting to hear if it still does not look quite right. Thanks for the comments
