Here is my finished entry for this campaign: The Tiger I (P) befehlspanzer.

In the last couple of pictures I have placed it next to the massproduced Tiger I to compare the differences in width and placement of the turret on the hull. The Porche version has the gun extending a lot forward of the hull due to the placement of the turret.

This is my entry for the C:2 Command and Control Campaign. It is the Italeri Opel Blitz Einheitskoffer Field Radio Truck in 1/35. I also used the Eduard photo etch set for this kit. The unit markings are per the instructions which only state " German Army, France 1940."

Tom,
Nice looking Opal you made there. I had thought about doing that same truck, but went a different way. Thanks for sharing.

Hello folks,

Haven´t post anything on this campaign (even considering that actually joined very early for this one....), but since I´m building some models for a modelling show that will take place here, this one fits with the theme.

M-113A2 used as C&C vehicle in the Chilean Army. A few kitbashed and scratch build details plus stowage. Decals home made and was painted with Humbrol enamels, weathering with Vallejo Acrylics, oils and MIG Pigments. Oh, kit its the Tamiya "updated" version...

Here are the pics of the build and paint process...

And the finished vehicle...

Sorry for the delay....(and the amount of pics)

Cheers

Great Opel Blitz, Tom. It looks very good and is truly a C&C vehicle if there ever was one

Good to see you have some C&C for all your other Chilean panzers, Klaus Very nice work, love the extra stowage.

Quoted Text

That is one mean looking vehicle, but it would be a massive job to scratchbuild one of those. Very cool looking vehicle anyway.

It's a huge vehicle as well. Scratching would be cool but quite difficult. And at the moment I'm already scratching one of these: (Patria XA-188)

They're in use as command vehicles as well but I don't think I'll make the deadline as it's a 1/16 radio controlled model

Good luck with your entries guys! Already some great looking models here!

Hi All,
The best way to re-enter the model building world is by entering this campaign :-)
This will be my first model since a very very long time. I want to enter with a italeri 1:35 horch kfz. 15 command vehicle.
Will be not as good quality as I have seen around, but I'll try to do my best .

Cheers

Here's a little newflash from the Dutch Front.....

I had build part of the interior and finished the maptable, untill I got some new info about this vehicle...
As it turned out the maptable wasn't as wide as I thought and build, but it isn't that bad. The real "challenge" that presents itself now, is how to make it doublesides with a lid on it; angled and all. It seems that it isn't just a table, but doubles as a kind of locker too...
As for the interior, I had to partially redo the benches and added a few gunracks and have been working on the "Scherenfernrohr"-arrangement.
The add-on armor is basically done too.

Here's some pics;

Great looking Tiger and M113's guys!!!!

hello

i've seen very nice projects on this topic

i'm working right now on an italeri BMW R75 ( 1/35 ) the famous german sidecar

this was also a reconaissance vehicle and it was also used for strategic reasons like a fast despatch delivery

is this vehicle admitted onto this mission?
if it is i'd like to join the mission!

Hello everybody!
I'm the newbie modeller who joined the community a few days ago.
I saw this campaign and i thought it was suitable for the kit I'm making.
This is my second model ever, so i'm a bit embarassed to post it here
I wanted to buy this small kit because i thought that ,to begin this new activity, it was better to try with smaller things........I WAS WRONG
LOL a lot of small parts, must be very careful painting.....heheeh but after some hour of patience and a lot of curses finally i reached some result!

So let's start
This is the kit box: Italeri 1/35 it is very small about 10/12 cm

And this is the box, the remains of the kit and the instructions

And those are some pics of the bike
This is not finished, i have to paint the figures, add some rust, mud and some weathering effect with the airbrush i've bought these days.
Btw, this was painted all by brush because i bought the airbrush yesterday!
The machinegun support got broken when i was removing it from the plastic frame, so i "repaired" it with a small piece of wood and i put as a support a small plastic piece from a frame's number indicator.

i have also to add some details (as the symbol of BMW ), add the machine gun and to cover some paint mistakes made with the brush

ps: i've committed a small mistake because of the incorrect image on the box!!!
the instructions weren't very clear about this
look at the fuel tank cap in the original bike, on mine, and on the box image....

ok I've had the courage to do this i'm really embarassed......so plz dont kill me!

and sorry for my english

And a little update from me again.
I reworked the maptable by giving it an inside an top. The latter still has to be sanded down.

The bar in the front will be the base for the Scherenfernrohr. The SdKfz 251 Ausf A at the Victory Museum has one too and I used that one as a guide.

The radiocorner;
This one is a stoty on its own. It is based purely on assumption, circumstantial evindence and my imagination!
Appearently the 251/18 fielded the FuG 5 and FuG 7. So I used those. The frame was based on pictures of other radio equipment and the positioning was done on the left side of the vehicle, because the antennea on my version were on that side. I chose the rear, because that's where the radio's were in other command vehicles too.

Hi all

Here's my entry for the C2 Campaign, its my M-577 Command Post by Tamiya which I built straight OOB, the only thing I added to it are the two antenna on the top which came from an old Monogram Sherman kit. The model is basicaly finished except for an overall flat finishing coat which I cant do outside of my house right now thanks to an ongoing winterstorm This explains why the model still has some glossy areas. All the markings are of fictional unit I just made up by jumbling the numbers and letters from the decals included. I just wanted to simply portray an armored vehicle on a CP purpose. I had a fun build, and this was a fun Campaign, thanks!

Rei (muttley)

ps. I would like to say thanks to all my Armorama friends who contributed their broad knowledges through their own experiences with this vehicle, all your input in this thread helped a lot

Hello,

Here's my entry for the C2 Campaign, Rommel and a staff car. The Kubel Wagon type 82 by Tamiya 1/35 scale and it´s built straight OOB. I added an antenna and some rats from Plus Model.

Looks good, Rei. Nice M577 - a true CC entry for this campaign. Glad that you enjoyed the build. I agree with you - in the end it is all about having fun.

Christer, Looks great. Is this 1/35 scale or 1/16?

Thanks for participating, guys

Ahhhhh Mr. Rommel, one of my favorites!
Looks good...

My project is becoming more and more frustrating. I had to restart for the third time now, because every time I built something, some new photo's turned up..
Normally I would welcome that, but now they showed errors in my build, which had to be corrected.

Well, I guess that's the risk of building an specific vehicle...

back to the drwaingboard!!

Well, I fianlly started my project for this campaign last night. I am building the Dragon SdKfz 265 Kleiner Panzerbefehlwagen I. It is a nice little kit and I hope to have it primed by this weekend.

I just noticed this last night, this is the first Dragon kit I have actually done. My other recent ones were by Trumpter and Mirage. I have to say, this is a sweet kit, and it fits great thus far.

I've run into a tiny snag with my entry... Our resident CAAT team, AKA the family cat got into the workshop and turned my Stryker M1130 into a catastrophic kill . I still haven't found all the pieces!!! Does anybody happen to know of any good recipes for kitty a la king or cat stew? I've been working on an LAV C2 for another project, and I think that I might be able to get it finished by the deadline; so I guess my entry is now going to be Trumpy's LAV C2.

I just ordered a Sdkfz 251 C Comand wagon, which won't be here until the 28 of Feb. If I could get a two week extension, I would love to enter this campaign.

I enjoyed it though.... while it lasted.

I probably won't need an extension. I am about 2/3s finished with the 251 C.
