Hi can you tell me if your conversion kit will fit the HobbyBoss Leopard. I had bought this kit on the advice the hobby shop owner that it was the closest kit to the Canadian tank.

G'day Gotrek !
That question has been asked in the "/review thread" earlier.
Here it is:

You're probably better off using the Tamiya kit as the conversion was originally made for that Leo.
Cheers

Which Hobby Boss Leopard did you buy?

Jason will confirm this, but that's the wrong one for a 2A6M in Afghanistan. A 2A6 would have done the trick, although the Tamiya kit would be the best (that's what I'll be using).
I'm going to build a A6EX at some stage also (just out of the box though), perhaps just build that one as a German machine mate. Or you could make it a "What if ?" project
Cheers

I don't think that kit will be correct......due to the changes in the turret top armour and the glacis armour and I think there are some changes on the back deck.
I don't know the Hobby Boss kit very well at all so I don't know if you can convert back to a regular 2A6 easily......probably not.

Thanks for the info. I wish I had discovered this site before I got sucked into buying the wrong kit. I'll just have to make do with what I got.

My first clue that you might have the wrong kit was this.......
Not to knock hobby shop owners becuase some are actually very well informed but the old I heard it from guy who heard it from a guy that heard from a guy just doesn't cut it when providing advice on kits.
Can you return the kit or exchange it for the better Tamiya Leopard 2A6 kit?
