For the moment I'm not.
I am recovering from surgery and I am restricted to the couch with a blanket and a book and some minutes on the net every now and then..........
But I will be in a week or so, I guess...

Ron, I hope your surgery went well and we'll see you up and running soon!
As for being excited... Well, I just hope I haven't commited to too many campaigns for next year... But I am looking forward to that Accurate Armour set. Haven't decided yet wether I should overhaul the Tamiya or the Dragon M26. I tend to go for the Dragon, but the set is made for Tamiya...
Cheerio and a wonderful Holiday Season to everyone!

Well gents, here's what I'll be entering with.
This is the Tamiya kit as I built it several years ago. No weathering at the time...
EDIT: here's here's the link to my review of the AA kit.
Looks fine and crisp, looking forward to this one.
Cheerio!

Here's my "make over"-subject.... Tamiya's Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf D.
It will need repairing, new tracks, new paint and new markings.
At one point it will be starring in a Warsaw uprising-dio...

Great idea for campaign. I signed up as soon as I saw it. About half of my collection needs this treatment anyway. So a win win situation for me. Will probably submit several. Old Tamiya King Tiger and Tamiya Panther will be starters. I'll post the before pics soon.

Ok here is my first submission Tamiya Panther A 1/35 built aprox. 25 years ago while in the hospital recovering from major orthapedic surgery. No references, monochromatic paint, now busted and almost forgotten. It is past due for an overhaul.

Wow I can post pictures! Enough of that here is another candidate for this campaign. Another really crappy build and brush paint in a day. This one about 25 years old too. I think I built it shortly after getting out of the hospital. Almost too embarassed to show these. But I was still on pain killers at the time. Tamiya Stg III G I think.
Oh thats not an attempt at weathering. That is 20 some years of dust.

Hi,
Since I still can find some surface of my desk visible between the figures, model parts, paints and tools I’ve decided to start overhauling my old T34-85 (which btw was my first armor model ever).
Here it is in its original condition:
Here you can see it after partial disassembly I’ve managed to do without destroying to many parts
And here it is taking a bath in chlorine based toiled cleaning liquid (you can even see the paint going off the model):
More coming soon.
Andrzej

Hi Lewis,
I have an extensive sparepartbox, so I'll scavenge that one.
Djeezz Andrzej!
You're going all the way again, aren't you?
I thought you were going to create more space on your bench, not fill it all up..

Some interesting projects here. Mark, the old Tamiya Panther seems to be having a revival lately, lots of posts with it... Looking forward to what you're doing with it. Andrzej, I try to keep my workspace clean but it always takes about 5 minutes for it to look like yours...
The kit looks great, I'm just no writing a review to be posted on Armorama, so stay tuned...
Cheerio!

Hi
Think I'm going with an old Tamiya stug IV that I built dont know how many years ago. It's had some paint on it at some time. Going to strip that off as best I can & then give it a nice new paint job.
It also needs some smaller bit's finding or replacing as there missing. Will get a pic on as soon as poss.

Hi Guys,
I did a little preperation work on mine today, I was going to overhaul an old Tamiya M4 Sherman, but...... while I was having a new year tidy up in the workroom, I found (hidden in an old biscuit tin) a Tamiya Panzer IV D which some time ago was thinking of taking apart and converting it (partially started) from an early variant, to a late Afika Korps Panzer IV. I've taken some snaps (albeit poor ones, I'm no photographer) which I shall post either later (I'm at work at the moment) or tomorrow.....

Hi, I’ve just dropped in to show you my small progress. Tank is washed from the paint and already repainted with base color which is rusty red brown:
More coming soon (I do hope so…)

Hi All,
Here's a picture of how the Panzer IV looks at present (there would have been a few more but photobucket is messing me about), so here's the only one it uploaded
I'll add some more when photobucket lets me, I'm doing some work on the turret at the moment, post some pics of that when it's done
