Ok, I see !
It was October 2009, i.e. I built it after the campaign started but before I joined. Didn't know you had to declare your intentions beforehand.
I guess I'll just have to start something new then.

Ok,
here goes the second try (with today's newspaper to prove the starting date ).
It's Trumpeter's 1/144 Kettenkrad, that comes with the Me262 kit. Both lovely pieces of art and a breeze to build. I only opened up the handrails in the rear, cut away a "weird" structure at that same rear and added mudflaps.
Tomorrow: painting.
PS: it's tiny ;-)
Cheers

Here's what I'm working on for the campaign: Mirage's 1/72 M3 Lee. Some progress shots. Hope to have most of the building done this weekend:

I finally got mine started this evening. Nothing like procrastination huh? Not a lot done in the 30 minutes I spent on it. Hopefully I can finish it up over the week end. I have and Ecology final to study for so that may take priority... lol.
Thanks, "Q"

Very nice Neo. I got the remainder of my LeClerc built. Decided to try something different in regards to painting it. Shot the entire thing in flat black and will lay the camo pattern over this using the black that is already there for its portion of the pattern. Going to try the modulation technique to see if I can do it and also to see how it works for me. More to follow. Thanks, "Q"

And that is a wrap. This one went together really well. Very well engineered kit IMO. Glad to have finally contributed something to my own campaign! Now to post it in the gallery. Speaking of gallerys, since we now have one dedicated to the campaign, please post your completed kits there as well as here. So far there are only 6 posted in the gallery space. Would love to see considerably more there. Still several weeks left in the campaign. Thanks, "Q"

Matthew and Neo, great builds. I particularly like the camo on the LeClerc. I put up a couple of pictures of the Light Guns in the campaign gallery but I fear my vignette base will not make the deadline.I ordered two sets of Preiser modern U.S. figures and after waiting a month they are still on back order and not expected in until the first week of January. To add insult to injury, I am finding my scenic skills sorrowfully lacking. I got a Woodland Scenics diorama base and scenery kit and have wasted most of the material and a couple of trees trying to get something that looks real. Anyway, here's some pictures as the situation now stands.
A bit of a close-up.
Finally, the firing position gun.
I'll go to my LHS and throw some more money at the base/scenery on Monday.
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks for the kudos on the LeClerc Jan. Might I offer you a suggestion for your diorama? Instead of dropping a lot of money on Woodland Scenics, take a stroll through the local grocery store, specifically the aisle with the spices and such. I large jar of dried parsley will go a long ways towards ground litter, and leaves in 1/72 scale. I use several different spices when doing ground litter, and leaves. I crush them further before using to make sure they are nice and small. Small roots from saplings work great for trees too. Even the roots from some weeds will work well. Simply wash them off and let dry. Spray some hairspray over the portion you want the leaves (spices) attached to, then sprinkle them over an open paper bag to catch what falls off. Continue to hold the "tree" inside the bag with the top cinched around the trunk area, and give it a good shake to get the loose leaves back up onto the branches. You can continue to add hairspray and leaves until you achieve the look you are after. These tend to look better than the premade plastic ones I've found at the LHS. If you mix the spices up, you can get some really good looking effects. They also take paint well. Hope this helps. "Q"
ps. As long as your models are complete by the deadline, you'll be awarded the ribbon.

Finished my M3 Lee (in 1942 markings as a training tank at Ft. Benning). I had some real issues with getting the track to fit right. As is, it's either sitting too high on top or the bogies are too low. The track is not sitting on top of the return rollers as it should. I haven't been able to figure out yet how to fix it, and I may just leave it as is.
I finished the model with Testors Dark Green (rattle can), followed by a pinwash with thinned black acrylics and highlighted with Model Master Light Green. The metal sections of the track were handpainted with Oxide Brown (acrylic), followed by a dry brush with Model Master steel. I really like the effect this created.
Finally, decals and Dullcote, although I took the pictures before I put the Dullcote on..... LMKWYT

Thanks Matt. I'm actually pretty happy with the way it came out, and it's one of the few things I've actually finished lately.... I posted some of the pics in the gallery already.

@Matthew Thanks for your suggestions. To experiment I raided the SWMBO's large stash of spices and such and have found some interesting substitutes for commercial products. In no uncertain terms I was told to go and buy my own and leave her stash alone.
@Mark v Your Lee turned out very nice and the pictures are also good. In this scale it doesn't matter what manufacturer makes them there always seem to be issues with tracks. Even the link and length can cause problems, especially when the carpet monster swallows up one of you links.
Cheers,
Jan
