Here is the project I will be beginning for this campaign. I hope to begin construction this week.
People have said it can't be done, but I'm going to combine the parts from the M1025 and the Bushmaster kit to complete one vehicle with the Bushmaster mounted. I've done some dry fitting and I think it will work out good.
I was debating doing a build log but haven't decided for sure.

Anyone see the movie, "The Hurt Locker" yet. Well done film with a humvee in there. It would be a good dio with the guy in the bomb suit walking out in the street from the humvee.

Hi MBR
In relation to your question about the possibilities of conversion kits being used on the Acadamy kit I just want to let you know the dimensions of these two kits are slightly different.
Among other differences the Tamiya kit is slightly wider than the acadamy kit. So any external features you intend to use for converting an acadamy kit might run into trouble unless you consider scratching..
best of luck
Belated thanks for the information. My shop managed to get me an Academy 998 so this will be the kit for this campaign. Will be done as "badly overloaded and towing an M102" from Desert Shield (The latter already build)

Gday mates ,having made some space on the modelling bench I am getting ready to start building an Isreali M1114 using the legends add on to the Tamiya 1025 kit for this campaign .
Which company makes the most accurate resin wheels suitable for this build ?

Brian, If you are using the Legends IDF Uparmored kit, then it is made for the academy kit, If you are using the M1114 then that one is for the Tamiya. Not sure if the IDF uparmored will work with the Tamiya due to the different dimensions, but if you manage to do it you will have to keep us posted .

Hi Jeremy , thanks for the input , I think I'll do the uparmoured Isreali on the Academy kit as I can get the Legends add on for $51.00 aus but the M1114 is nearer $100.00 Australian over here . I would like to source some resin wheels as well if possible .

Let me show You something, what I'm working at. I started some time ago, but the Campaing was already humming along So I want to have my little paticipation in it.
This is M1114 UAH used by mercenaries in Afghanistan. Some parts are attached without glue.
Base - Tamiya's M1025, conversion set - MIG Production, wheels - Blast Models.

Damn Kuba, I like it. You build some fine Humvee's there Buddy. How is everyone else coming along? I myself have been a little sidelined here of late with a coiuple of trips to the hospital and a few more waiting in the wings. Nothing life treatening. Just some funny things going on with the old (36) body here. Will be able to complete my own Campaigns though.

Can't believe i missed this campaign, but since i'm back from uni in 3 weeks i can get started. Thanks to some great finds on Ebay, I found some great kits/accesories for very little £s.
I'll be building an SF dumvee using the Tamiya kit and some legends/MIG accesories.
Should start soon
