Hi,
I'm late joining in mainly as I havn't been able to post pics for ages due to technical problems but for the Blitz 3 Italy campaign I'm going to do this
I know, I know, it's old and flawed and possibly the last Tiger kit anyone would go out and buy but it's been sitting in the stash for a very long time and entering a camapign is the only way it'll ever get done! The kit has a decal option for no. 222 of SPAbt 504, the only Tiger to get back from Sicily to the mainland (where it broke down) so it's being built out of the box except for some PE grilles and some small modifactions. I'm behind on photos but as I type, construction is complete, priming and base colour are done. More pics to follow.

We are 58 enlisted now.
@ Daniel : I like the number of shift levers, bet it was fun to use in hurried situations
@ Wayne : waiting on those photos
@ Rich : I have entered your build into the spread sheet and it will show on the next posting.
@ Paul : as with Wayne waiting on those photos

Here's an update, quite a bit of weathering, a little bit of stowage, and 3 figs to come in the next few days

Great stuff guys! Still cranking away on my Sherman. Lost the barrel tip and one handle to the carpet monster, but I should be able to remedy that.

Fantastic work, guys!
I have a favorite, though. I've always loved the Staghound, and David, you did an amazing job finishing up that Staghound! Really well done on the PE, camo, and stowage!
As far as my build, I was hoping to finish up a figure and base for this campaign, but I'm only going to be able to finish the kit. I'll post photos on Armorama when I finally finish the fig and base (Sunken Road from Monroe Purdu.) I apologize for not being able to finish the entire scene for the campaign. I've enjoyed watching the builds, and I learned a lot about the Rangers from reading "The Ranger Force" and "Darby's Rangers / We Led the Way" while I was building. I hope I can participate more in Blitz 4! I also enjoyed using AK Interactive products for the first time. I highly recommend them!

I don't think any apologies are necessary, you've done a superb job on your halftrack Michael. I would like to know how you like that base when you finish working on it

Thanks, Jeremy! I'm a big fan of Monroe Perdu kits. The detail is fantastic and each kit comes will color photos of finishing options. Plus customer service is great and Mike Bishop seems to be a really nice guy. Like I said, I'm a bid fan. I'm planning to get another of their kits for the Urban Warfare campaign. Thanks again!

A bit more weathering and a couple of Jerry Cans to add, and then I'm done.
Hopefuly tomorrow
This has been a quick OOTB build (except for the Alpine and Warrior figs). Next time I do one of these it will be with Fruil Tracks

Paul, I have you marked down as finished on the spreadsheet. What will you do with all of your spare time now?

An update on my Tiger (sorry, pics are terrible):
Construction is finished. As you may be able to see, this took a lot more filling and sanding than I remember from when I built this kit a few years ago. It's the first time I've loosely fitted wheels and sprockets onto the axles then build the link by link tracks on to them, removing each track/wheel assembly for painting. Outer road wheels are not added yet to help painting. It's fiddly and I'll reserve judgement until I see how well it all goes back on!
This has to be a quick build, so I kept it simple and out-of-the-box as much as possible. There are a few pics of 222 in Tigers in Combat 1 so I tried to replicate what I could see in those. I added a right rear loaders hatch, rounded exhaust shields from another kit and some Aires PE screens. The folded, damaged fenders are either kit parts (thinned and bent up) or made from wine-bottle foil - exhaustive research showed that "Carmen" provided the best foil for this purpose. Modelling should always be fun!
Halfords primer and base coated with Humbrol enamels but with I overdid the fading effect. Last night, it got a filter of mid-brown to darken it and tonight, it's been Kleared.

Neal: Did you freehand the stripes for the camo, or did you mask it?

Wow, great stuff here. I forgot to post my finished Pak 40 towed by an Opel Blitz:
Took these outside with natural light and surroundings in the morning. Hope to post them in the campaign gallery if I can figure out how to get more space there.

Hello Bob, I need an extention for the campaign, a seven days extend will be great.
