Hmm so go with the testors cement is what you're telling me? So the transparent red wouldn't work on clear plastic? As my tailights are clear pieces and I thought with a flat red you wouldn't be able to see the silver when I paint on the backside before going over with OD? Let me know what you think please and thank you

I'd say go with the transparent red and see how it looks. If it doesn't turn out right, you can always cover it with the flat red.

Sounds like excellent advice to me. I have given that method a crack on aircraft Nav lights and it seems to work well

Brad that's why I love you buddy you're so logical and come up with the best suggestions. Even though i'm really proud of those tools and how they turned out I can see your point most clearly.
Every picture of the M7 i've seen has the rear deck loaded up in real life and therefore mine should be too. I think i've got a solution that will allow the tools to still be seen if you look for them with a flash light or torch as some of you folks call them.
I appreciate the fact that some of you have pointed out that my vanity got in the way of facts.

Oh my word! All of those Sherman's and not a Panzer to be seen anywhere? Way to many builds going on over here. With the campaign count standing at 134 participants I just had to enlist. This campaign is rocking hard. Late start but I'm in. Just went online and ordered the DML's M51 Super Sherman premium kit from Sprue Brothers. Should have that kit in my hands (hopefully) before Friday. Can't wait to open the box and get a good whiff of that Hong Kong plastic on my face! Oh the fun!
Tony, just wishing I could have some of your vanity and have it get in my way, I mean just look at those bad-ass looking tools on that killer looking M7. And how about those realistic looking tracks, run me over with it! No! Better yet, wait till you have it loaded down with all of the stowage and then have a go at running me over, please!
Now let me go to page 1, I have some catching up to do . . .

Hey guys !
Just a few hours and lots of updates - Is this Campaign "freaking awesome" or what ???
@ Eddy - Welcome to this Panzer free zone !! M51's are most welcome. Panzer Mk "Anythings" are not
@ Thomo - Yes I thought that was Vallejo, paints soooo nicely with a brush Nice work, keep posting mate !
@ Graham - next build ? Hmmmm ? Keep those Shermie's coming Did the Kiwi's use 50 Cal's on the Turret ? I can't say I've seen any pics with one mounted, but then again I haven't seen many Kiwi's FF's either
@ Jay - yes go the transparent Red on clear lenses for the effect. Worked wonders on the Leopard 2A6 I built earlier this year !
@ Keith - NICE ! Perhaps your next 'bad boy' should be something else a little unusual ? That would be nice
@ Tony - yes Brad's advice on the stowage is worth following. Look to do something realistic, but if you really want to show that great 'tool work' off. Shove that stowage around for a 'clear view' where you want it.
Team, remember to post your pics in the Campaign Gallery, as you will need to do that to get your ribbon when the Campaign is finished
Cheers
Paul

This is my first post on Sherman campaign.
I am in the progress of building Dragon 6511 M4 Sherman Normandy.
I found that the engine deck plate parts F9 and F8 a bit too small to fit into the vehicle deck.
So I took some very thin evergreen and made 4 strips to make the parts fit more firmly. I guess that I am not the only one with this problem ?
I also filled the holes were Air intake parts F4 and F5 should be place on the rear deck, since I think that it would not come out nice if I let those parts in those large holes.
I drilled 6 drain holes in the deck as recommended by guys here on Armorama, I had not seen those drain holes before, Thanks guys.
I don’t have macro on my camera, but I hope that you can see my work on my pictures.
Regards
Bobber
Hmmm I can't figure out how to post pictures here. But here they are ( i think )

All right I thought so Paul, I know theres a difference b/w clear and regular plastic and thought of course it wouldn't make sense to put transparent red on the regular plastic and I've been slacking a little bit I've got to get some turpex and am still waiting for my air hose to come in and while I'm waiting for those I am fiddling around with the tires which imho is the most boring part on building tanks Still have to work out the stowage so atleast I can put this off for now

How's this idea folks? I put some wood down to support the stowage. Now it don't look like it's floating back there.
Thanks for checking on my build

There is something on uploading and posting pictures in threads in the For Those New to Armorama Campaigns thread. Posting pictures from the KitMaker galleries is not intuitive.

@ Bobber - Welcome mate ! Try Gary's link to help with the Pic upload, it'll take a couple of tries, but you'll get it soon enough. Good start on the Shermie !
@ FlorinD - good start on the little'un !, Are you going to use the kit markings ?
@ Tony - different idea mate, can't say I've seen anything like it before. I'm interested to hear the feedback from the team....
@ dani - make sure you post some more pics of you M4a3 soon
Cheers guys, thanks for posting and supporting this "ripper" Campaign !!
