PhantomMajor, I really don't mind if this will be a full featured campaign or a Group build, I just confirm my intention to be in if I find a suitable subject in 1/35 who served in the Italian Army. I've fun building models and I never built a chopper before and to have one more ribbon/medal in my roster does not motivate me at all. What motivate me is to put my hands on one more nice model to be put in my collection!!!

Thanks for the belated update regarding my campaign idea, i am not sure what the committe will be doing for the remaining four months of the year since they wont be organising campaigns.... and i thought it was only wild animals that hibernated in the winter? but rest assured that this beginners campaign will be taking off, with or without official approval. When we are a little closer i plan to notify all those who have shown an interest in taking part if they still want to build their desired choice of helicopter.

my message is this, you can be on the bus, there is plenty of room to join in or you can be left at the station, the choice is yours :-)

Death From Above and below and behind !

Great and have fun with the Group Build!

As to your comment as to what the Campaign Committee will be doing for the last four months of the year - I thought that funny if not a bit insulting. They and we are the ones working behind the scenes daily on Site. What else is there to do but make sure the lights are on and someone is home for you to post comments like this!?!

I'm really hoping this Group Build turns out great.

Fabio is the man. I have two choppers that I am dying to build. I'll post updates at least as often as everyone else does, I promise. I may be spending some serious time on the T2K deal but I am defiantly in for the helos.

Roger, Gunnie.. I am looking for the Helo Group Build to start around the same time. On a lighter note, is anyone out there planning on attending IPMS First Coast JAXCON 2003 down here (or up??) in sunny Jacksonville, FL. Hope to see you guys there.

Phantom_Major - I'm still in Campaign or a Group build, what ever. After spending 2 weeks running around getting the pieces I wanted for this build, and working on 3 other projects to kill time till it starts, you bet I'm still in.

I'm definitely in Phantom Major!!! I found the model is an AB 212 from Panda Models in 1/35. The only one problem is that I have to buy it and I have to figure out a place down here where I can purchase it...
Ciao

Hello guys! After reading some of your posts, can I join this campaign? I'm planning to do my Italeri 1/48 RAH-66. Is it included in the list?

Major the Ah-1W ( Whiskey) version of the Cobra didn't serve in Nam The AH1W come out in the late 80's to early 90's. The Cobra itself in its earlier versions did. I think to the F version, but alas w/o the referance I need I am going on memory.
The latest version of the Cobra is the AH-1Z (Zebra) Super Cobra. The most noticable differance betwen the W and Z version is the Z version has four propellar blade instead of the two usually seen on earlier versions

Actually I am building the old Monogram 1/48 Charlie model. The funny thing about this model is that I dont think it is a C but actually a B model Huey because I believe that the engine provided with the model is a t-11 and not a t-13.

Hi

I will be supporting Vlady’s ka-52 alligator with my Italeri KA-50 ‘Hokum’ (1/48 scale) OOTB. I will build the Loach later, as I want to add some aftermarket detailing to it.

I think a heliborne contest is a great idea.. About time, too, since it has come to be the major implemented weapon on the modern battlefield . Think of the possibilities, really,,from Burma in 1945, to Korea, to the French campaigns in North Africa to the Nam til now.. WONDERFUL subject matter.
