Hi Guys !
Anyone interested in Campaign "White Eagle" ?
Polish Armor, Softskins, figures, Ships, & Aircraft, Pre WWII to Present.
All scales and including Dio's,
There are opportunities for:
Pre WWII.
WWII September Campaign
WWII French Campaign
WWII NWE & MAO (Inc: Italy & North Africa)
WWII Eastern Front
WWII RAF
Post WWII Warsaw Pact
Post 1990 to present (Iraq & Afghanistan etc)
Lots of possibilities.
If the East European Steel doesn't get of the ground, this would kik of in Dec 2010.
Well ? Thoughts ?
Cheers
Paul

Well Jeremy there are Shermans as used by the Commonwealth forces in WWII.
eg: Sherman M4A1 76(W) and Firefly Vc & V with the 1st Armored Div in NWE.
Sherman III DV and II DV as well as the "Welded hood" III in the MEA (Italy and North Africa) with Polish 2nd Corps.
Other vehicles could be Bren gun carrier, Achilles, etc. for WWII forces fighting in exile. Any AFV, Dragon, Tasca, Tamiya, and DML kit can do these vehicles and often have the markings.
T-55, T-72, and Leopard 2A4 for post WWII versions. Kits are aailable for those. Decals for the Leopard 2A4 can be bought.
The Hobby boss Leopard 2A4 would be good for a current Polish Tank. That may be to your liking
BMP1, PT-76, etc for APC's. during the Soviet Cold war Era.
Then there are Mirage kits for WWII and before - these require a bit of work - I will do the 7TP with Fruils, Aber PE, Hornet Crew, and an ARMO Barrel for a September '39 machine.
Here are a couple of nice builds of that Mirage Model:
7TP 1
7TP 2
7TP 3
The Mirage 1/35 kits include the wz. 34-II Polish Armoured Car, 7TP single, and dual turret. Also the C7P Light Tractor (nice kit), Vickers E Mk.B - light tank, TKS - Polish light tankette, etc.
Like I said the Mirage kits are not the best but with a little bit of work can result in a nice finished project.
T34-85 for 1st Div fighting with the Soviets.
If you get a generic kit that comes with other markings (eg: Sherman, T-55, T-72, T-34, etc), it won't be hard to find some Polish markings - Jadar Hobby are good in Poland ( and I live in Australia !!), 'Evil bay' also has listings.

I have a Firefly Vc and a T-55 buried somewhere in the stash, so it looks like I'm in
I'll see what I can find for decals and whatnot and run them by you later.
The Leopard 2A4 sounds like it would be a cool build, but if I remember correctly from reading a while back the only really accurate kits were Tamiya's 2A5 and 2A6.

The Hobby Boss 2A4 isn't bad... There are a couple of build logs here I think you'll find Jeremy.
Welcome aboard mate... we only need 8 more . I'm sure there are a few Polish guys here that would be a great addtition to the team
Come one guys - join, join. This Campaign will be a lot of fun !!

Paul,
I would really like to see that Eastern European Steel Campaign kick off. I picked up a Su-122 for that. Put if it don't pan out and this 1 becomes official I guess I will have to find and pick up something Polish. What would be the start and time frame, there are 3 campaigns starting in January. I guess I will be hoping for a cold winter
