Yes, I shall be working on a few ideas for the ribbon shortly, and if I'm successful with this I will move on to a couple banners or so for you.

Sure thing, I'm having a hard time getting inspiration for this ribbon, but that's due mostly to my own lack of knowledge of the Polish military and its history.
Also, thanks for the link Paul. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to order direct and pay overseas shipping, but it may be my only option. What have your experiences with Gerold been like?

He's very good.
I bought the whole suite of JagdPanzer Kanone bits from him earlier this year, fast postage, answers to questions etc. Very helpful

Alright then, sounds good. I'll check it out tomorrow. At 39,50 EUR this set certainly doesn't come cheap, and I'll still need to get the barrel, tracks, and decals. Maybe if I spread out the cost over the next few months I can work it out, I'd certainly love to build one of these vehicles.

Yeah that'd be nice Jeremy, I guess the budget will tell the tale - expensive project for sure
I just got my copy of "Polish Tracks and Wheels 1" by Adam Jonca (2009). It covers Polish Renault FT-17's, Renault R35/40's, and Hotchkiss H35/39's.
It is a Brilliant book in my opinion - mainly because of the subject matter !!!
It covers Polish Renault FT-17's from 1919, and the other machines thru 1939 (Polish Campaign) to 1940 (Polish forces in France - Western Campaign).
I should do a review It has great photographs and very nice color profiles of the machines above
This book certainly has opened my eyes to the History of Polish Armor prior to WWII.
I LOVE it !!!
Cheers

Indeed brother, finances shall have the final word
I encourage you to write a review of that book, in no small part because I would like to see a preview of it.

21 enlistees now.
Great to see you all 'jumping on board'. Please make sure you update the team on your build plans.
I'm really "getting into" the research on that FT-17. Fruilmodel tracks have arrived as has the Aber PE I also bought a set of RPM plastic individual track links. I'll decide when we start which tracks I'll use.
As mentioned above, the "Polish Tracks and Wheels 1" by Adam Jonca (2009) book is an exceptional reference

Paul: I've been playing around with bar arrangements, crests, and insignias and I've come up with one rough idea here (or maybe not so rough, I'm still undecided how I feel about the bar arrangement). I'm very tempted to add some thin black bars, but I have mixed feelings about that because black isn't part of the Polish colours, which would mean that I would just be adding it for asthetic reasons.
and with lighting effects
Let me know what you think, and if you have any other ideas or suggestions on tweaking this design.

Hey Jeremy !
I like the 1st Armored Div Hussar logo in the ribbon
I think less orange and more white is the go however. ie: more national colors.
Any other thoughts guys ?

I think it looks great as it is, but we could try with another colour than orange. Maybe just remove the orange and let it be white. Less is more?
Anyway, I have done some research and I think I will go for a Polish T-34/85 with DT-5 gun.
I only have a couple of colour profiles, so if anybody has any pictures, it would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, keep the winged Hussar, loose the gold/orange. Here is the original plus a few more ideas using just the white and red.

I love the first option with a lighting effect. Maybe just a slight change. Instead of white stripes around the orange stripe use a black? It is just a suggestion, because the polish armored forces use black and orange colors on the insignias.

Hi Guys,
Jeremy again great job with the ribbons. I don't know much about Polish History but I think the 4th one with just the red and white looks good on a ribbon size item.
The last 1 looks like the white washes out the red when you shrink it. Just my $.02

Hi Paul,
I have a Polish JS-2 that I'm almost in the weathering phase of. Can I pigeon it, till the campaign begins, or does the project have to start from scratch. I'm also Doing a dio, and figures to along with the JS-2, which are about 1/2 done.
Appropiate enough, the title of the Dio will be "The Eagle Has Landed".

Piotr: Sure thing, I can try that out for you later tonight and see how you guys like it. I like the yellow in the polish insignias, and it does really help to add some life imho.
Sal: I think that's true for most of us regarding Polish history. Thanks for your input, and I agree with your thoughts on the last two ribbons. If you would like to see anything change, feel free to let me know.

I just picked up a copy of the Kageroo Eastern Front color plate book with decals from my lhs. It has a great selection of Polish vehicles of Russian and US (Studebaker Lend Lease trucks) origin, so I think I may pick one ore two vehicles from there.
In the meantime I will continue to see if I can get the parts I need to build a Polish Leopard 2A4 in a timely and affordable manner.
