Just to be sure
The conversion will be a Lorit one, not an upgrade version of the LAV-III with rear and turret blast shield ones since I can see the fuel tank armor as well as the rear hull armor ??

What will be the contents of the kit then ??

35214 is set for update LAV IIII. Include PE parts, resin parts, two figures and wheels.
35215 include PE baskets and some details for LORIT.

After a long pause, I add a new update. I finished the rear spare wheel holder. It must be said that this is the first part of the perfect model. I added a Blast Shield on the back. I had to extend the parts yet because I use parts of the LAV III (for AFV model). Backside Blast Shield and I will add a new set.
Now I will prepare turret. I have a dilemma whether to use the kit turret of my products or just add instructions for repair and new covers. The Turret from Trumpeter has incorrect rear upper armor, but the turret version with the blast shield must be removed.
Then just replace the main periscope to be correct, and the aforementioned covers.

Very nice work Miloslav...impressive update.

Can you offer both turret upgrades to the modeller?

One including your turret if they aren't going to mount the blast shields and one using the kit turret with just the corrections and covers? If the modeller is going to be removing the kit rear upper turret armour anyways then just included the corrected parts.

Thanks Jason,
Yes, I prepare and repair Turret from Trumpeter. Maybe I'll do two versions of the new set with no turret and turret. I do not want to set expensive.

Nice update Milo!

I agree, the more parts that can be used form the original kit the better.

Now finishing up a proposal to the PE parts. I would have prepared two sets of one or two weeks.

So I guess Trumpeter really goofed on this one? I was contemplating getting one, but not if I need to spend as much or more for corrections. Oh well...I guess it depends on how bad I want a correct one on the shelf.

Hi Brad,

Listening to the armour guys at the last meeting it isn't that bad of a kit and can be built into an early Afghan machine from the box.

But I build so little armour I plan on dressing this one up so I plan on these sets.

Turret update:
I used the Trumpeter turret. I cut off all washers and bolts. Then I did the anti sleep surface and glued new correct screws and washers.
I adjusted the rear top of the add-on armor because it is manufactured as one piece, not two parts.
Since the thin armor on the turret, is not necessary to remove the installation Blast Shield.
Here is the problem shows that the hull is shorter by 4 mm. Therefore, the rear basket reduced by 2-3 mm. Turret must be rotated.
I added the correct antenna mount and periscopes.

Last update.
Now the model is complete as the version from 2008. All Resin & PE parts, which includes photos of the new set of RMA 35214.
We will continue building LORIT version where'll use parts from the new set RM 35215.

Left side. Here, no tool box, because the left side is ready to LORIT large basket.
