Looks like the LORIT conversion will be a vast improvement. I was considering purchasing one of these, but I think I will save some money and stick the one in service in Afghanistan.

I dunno Gary, what are you going to do without all that masking, glossing, and decalling to do? And only one main colour to spray! And real photo-etch, not that easy pre-coloured self sticky stuff you AC guys use...

I need to build something simple once and awhile. Plus you are painting the figures for me.

Very impressive!
Now I would like to know: on your site, we can see another new kit: 35217. It doesn't have the figures and the wheels, but the photo etch parts don't look the same either. So what are the differences between this and 35214 as far as photo etch is concerned?

Hello,
They are not the same. Here are just a PE for the conversion of basic sets, the type of Command & Control, which is different.
Also, why not set contains figures and wheels.

Next step - LORIT
I now added the remaining components (cage side) for LORIT.
It remains only a few details - lights, mirrors, washers and screws.

Hi all,
After a long break due to health problems I have completed the construction of Trumpeter LAV III. Now the model is ready for painting.
