Hey Jeremy,
Count me in on this campaign.
I plan on building a diorama or two of some of the lighter sides of the US involvement in Vietnam.
I may also do a single figure or two for display.
Thanks.
Cheers,
James

Excellent James, thanks for posting!
Benjamin: Nice choices! I was thinking about the SAS figure myself if I go with a Centurion.

If you do I implore you to get some Bravo-6 figures. The quality is ridiculously high. I even think that they outstrip Alpine (yes you are reading that correctly) in terms of sculpting and casting. My SAS figure has button holes in the jacket buttons

Nico: Great, glad to have you on board!
Benjamin: Sweet! I need to find a vendor here so I can check some of them out.
If you haven't seen it already, Vladimir Demchenko of BRAVO 6 is partially sponsoring the contest at the end of this campaign

Hi
Benjamin : very nice duo, I fell a lot of Humour (there is a pun here) in you vignette. Love it in advance.
I've painted few weeks ago one of the first figure from Bravo6, and I must say that I completely agree with you. The poses are very good, and unlike Alpine, there are many figures of the bravo6 range which are in action poses (rather than pointing to something). The folds are excellent, small details (like puppets attached to the helmets) are everywhere... And Bravo 6 dares to make some off the mainstream figures, like vietcongs, or French Dien Bien Phu airborn (not a single Nazis German (except one being kicked in the ass, or a pow) in the line of products....Uhhh but this guy can't sell then !! How does he make a living without selling german ???? :) )
Keep up like this mister Demchenko
Best,
Julien

Hi! count me in on this one!!!
I will be joining with the only known M-548 Gun truck a.k.a SNAP FOX. The kit is from AFV and I'll posting my progress a.s.a.p.!!!
If I have the time, I will build the T-54b tank numbered 844, of the PAVN, that was photographed entering the "independence palace" at 04/30/1975, marking the end of Vietnam war...

Both great choices Orestis, I'm looking forward to seeing both build if you have time. Just a little over a month and you can get started on that Snap Fox

I agree! I'm going to have to really look into the BRAVO 6 lineup and get some of those figures for myself. I'm already set on the "Best Wishes" figure, I mean how many times do you see an Aussie figure released?

Hello everybody ¡¡
I saw some days ago this thread about Vietnam, so I was thinking about take part in this campaign.
I`m making a big Vietnam diorama some years ago (sorry, I´m a lazy modeller), and now I want to finish it at last (maybe still 3-4 months of working).
So I would like to now if my diorama could be admited for this campaign.
What I´m doing is this:

Santiago, you can use it if you hold off on any more work until August. I see that you still have quite a bit of work to do with the helicopter, and there is still quite a bit to be done with the base as well. I really like the hut, would you be able to write up a tutorial on how to make one?

Thank you for your reply. I would be happy to take part in your campaign, but I need to finish my diorama ASAP (as soon as posible) because I have to finish something this year (5 years wihout finish someting are too much years ...).
Anyway, my best wishes for the campaign.
Thank you very much.
Santiago.
PD About the hut, I explain in the tread how to do it; is very simple, just natural sticks for estructure, glued with cianocrilate cement. The estructure of the roof is just hard carboard with brush hairs glued with contact glue; and the wall are made with natural fibers tablecloth from a chinese bazaar. Easy and cheep.

Santiago, the came will start in one month. If you can hold off until then you will be able to enter the campaign and still finish your diorama this year.
If you feel that you must finish it now, then feel free to create a new project when the campaign starts

I know we've still got five weeks until this kicks off, and now I'm in a bit of a dilemma on what use for my little riverine SEAL dio. I have both Tamiya's PBR (yeah, the doe eyed one) but I picked up Dragon's LSSC, which might serve the dio better as it was a true SEAL support craft. Still planning on using the BRAVO6 SEAL & POW, and the rest of the team from Dragon's old SEAL II figures (VietNam era). Would the LSSC make more sense for a low profile VC POW extraction?

Definitely. A patrol boat would be far more likely to attract attention. That said however, a PBR would certainly be a welcome sight if things went south during the POW rescue.
If you have the space, you could have a PBR arriving for fire support after being called in by the SEAL team who is pinned down under heavy fire from the VC while trying to make it to their LSSC with the POW(s).
