I have no affiliation with Zvezda. Zvezda will soon have a 1/35 T-90. Found at: http://ontracks.co.uk
I have no association with ontracks. Going for $35.78USD Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Since it was announced years ago and has yet to show up, I will believe it when I see one. Since the 4th Quarter of 2010 is long gone, the supposed release date, I think this train shop did not know better than to buy in to the hype. So everyone else does not have to waste their time hunting all over this site, here is a real link. http://www.ontracks.co.uk/index.php?page=product&prodID=114946&catID=1064

I'm in correspondance with a wholesaler of Zvezda kits. I can order 30 of the for $17.95USD per piece. I am unsure of the shipping, as of now. I am trying to get them to send me one piece to make sure they are legit. If so, I would be willing to sell the other 29 for $17.95 per kit plus shipping. I will only go through with this if I have at least 25 people willing to comit to purchasing them.

I want to believe but, since they don't even have it on their "New Products" page and the archived product page is no longer active, I am not holding my breath. The most recent update I had heard was August or Autumn, depending on the source. Considering it has been announced by them since 2004, I'm no longer holding my breath.

Well, I don't know
To be honest Zvezda eastern subjects, despite the company is russian , are often too incorrect and disappointing
For exemple I really hoped for a good Zvezda t-72, but finally their kits are just reissues of the old DML kits
In my opinion too work (and money) is required to correct them.

Otherwise Zvezda t-90,if it comes out, will be probably the only tool available for a long time

I think I'll wait the reviews before buying it

The stuff that they have been tooling recently has been pretty darned good and it is unfortunate that so much of their Soviet/Russian stuff was just rekitting Dragon's garbage. I would imagine this would be a good kit so long as they don't try and reuse any parts from their T-72.

I agree with you Matt,

I have some of their newer kits in stash and those are darn good kits.

Yes, I know and that's absolutely true, they 've been getting better recently
but it seems to me that they are focused mostly on ww2 subjects. I'd like a new tool, I really hope so but to be honest I suspect they' ll produce a T-90 derived from their old kits, because they have to maximize their older molds...

It would be amazing if they produced a new series of modern russian tanks...

T-64, T-72 a new T-80 and why not? a competitor to the T-55 Tamiya...

Hey, maybe you can order some Academy M-728's while yer at it
I'll wait until someone actually has a kit in hand before I get excited...even then...I have doubts!

All kidding aside, it is nice to see offers being made. However, based on the suggested price, I would tend to think it is the old DML kit with add-on pieces. Russia has been going through some terrible inflation, so I doubt they are going to suddenly start lowering the prices on all-new-mold kits.

Maybe I am wrong, I would love to be proven wrong, but I do not think that I am. And I will wait to see what comes out before dropping coins.

You're probably right but Zvezda does have some really abnormally low pricing at times, their outstanding Pe-8 kit is a good example. I will keep hoping for a new-tool kit and just keep my fingers crossed I suppose.

I'll wait for a review too, great news indeed but I find it strange that the kit is not mentioned on Zvezda website.

Last week a Zvezda co-worker said on their forum that they just started testing the first version of the mold.

Cheers,

I hope they'll make a new tool but to be honest I suspect they'll just modify their old (and wrong) T-72 kit

Heh heh, the T-90 would be a very good addition in a diorama to my -today- received Jadar 2S6M Tunguska kit!

I hope., I will be a good and "correct kit."

greetings...

Sorry, but I honestly don't see what would indicate such a suspicion.

Personally I expect a new tooled kit and acctually have higher expectations than I would have on a Trumpy release. My only concern is that it g e t s released. Untill proven wrong I'm ready to cut Zvezda some slack.

I hope you're right, and this long waiting could mean that actually they've been making a new tool.
I suspect in a "refurbished" mould because I think that it would be the less expensive way for them to made a T-90 kit. Have they enough money to do a new t-90 tool?....
Well, it's just my opinion anyway. Probably i've been waiting for it for so long that i've become pessimist
