Hi guys,
I had finally time to start on my project, I had to rebuild my mancave first and finish this project:
anyway,
this my DKW. I put in the spokes which took me a lot of time, the parts are very fragile. The big parts from the Aber set are now used up, time to continue with all the fiddly parts

Great looking Napoleon....wonders if he would have taken to the DKW!

My Douglas is missing some parts, waiting for replacements.
Mat,
Your DKW looks great, who's casting is that figure? Is that a 54mm or 120mm?

Thanks for the nice comments about Napoleon guys,
it's a Verlinden 120 mm. The casting is okay, although the proportions of the horse are a bit odd when you look a bit closer. The Andrea Napoleon on a horse set looks much nicer but it comes at a much higher price, and since this was my first large scale figure I did not want to take the risk.
If I put him on my DKW, the DKW would collapse under the wight, he would never lead his army to Russia
Great work on the spokes Irvin, they look even fiddlier to fit than mine

Mat,
I second it the Napoleon looks great. After a second look i realized its a Verlinden figure and i know what you mean about the horse. Verlinden does that on some of their figures maybe one guy did the horse and another the rider or they just wanted to save on resin!
Thanks for the comment on the bike, the photoetch was a slow process building one piece on top of another.

The construcion part is done, it took me longer than expected.
I have to paint it now and start on the figure, when it is finished it will some day be part of this diorama (the sailing ship will not be part of it )
