Here's some build pictures for my Tamiya BMW R75 with Sidecar. I'm building this particular kit specifically for this campaign. It will join a second partially assembled kit as parts for a diorama for the Blitz 4 Campaign.
Anyway, this one is an old and pretty straightforward kit. It has a lot of shortcomings, mostly due to its age. I am going to address some of them. I don't plan on trying to fix everything though.
The top two pictures are basic construction steps. Sorry about the quality. The bottom two pictures show the engine basically painted and the addition of fender struts, which are not included in the kit. Those were made from stretched sprue.
Given the size, I'm painting this one by hand with brush. The suicide shift arm is shown, but I think it looks horrible so that will be replaced. It's already been removed.
I found that using the hobby clamps works well in keeping the kit stable and allow easy handling without as much fear of damage. It basically acts as a bike stand.
That's basically it for now. My next series of pictures should include the replaced shift arm, cabling, and handlebar levers.

nice work Alex!
I have a question about the bmw and zundapp, is that the Italeri kit is better finished than the Tamiya kit?

Fred, I am actually using an Italeri BMW R75 to help update the Tamiya kit. The Italeri kit has the handlebar levers, exhaust entering the cylinder heads, and even the shift shaft linkage.
As far as detail, the Italeri kit is better od the two manufacturers. .

Progress on the dio so far.
Just a few bits added, the lamp post (from the old tamiya set) and a length of drain pipe ( damaged by the blast that took out the roof and the building top. The small sign nect to the door will read " 'B' Coy Hq" or something like that. The wee friends figure will be primed later and then once I have quickly paint the building and add the rubble. The rubble shown at the nmoment is just a test fit to see if I liked the idea ditto for the sand bags.

Would a 20 or so piece resin side car conversion kit for a static 1/18 WWII German bike qualify?
Actually it's more like 1/15th.
I've had it for a few years and never thought to ask about it fitting in this Campaign.
I looked over the rules but thought I'd ask first.

Watch out for!:-
http://www.propaganda-kompany.com/
I see that am not the only one ripped off at the above web site.I have had a motorcycle on order since Dec 2011 and plenty of reasons given why the kit has not been sent to me!
Paypal will be getting a call.
So next weekend I will pick up a kit from Wheels and Wings in Toronto!

Thanks Paul for allowing me on-board!
Here's my contribution:
A lot of disassembling the static piece and then assembling/glueing the resin sidecar as well as replacing ALL the wheels too.
Hmm, should I go DAK or ETO?
