Hi guys these little things build up quick I had some time today while waiting for the Futures to dry on my other 2 campaign builds so I started on this 1. It will be OOB
Photobucket
box is filled with spruces and even some PEPhotobucket
Typical Dragon instructions with part # missing or wrong
Photobucket
This part of the build is about 95% complete but I think this little guy will require some putty and some file work

I should be starting on my Tamiya BMW R75s hopefully this weekend. I'm building two of them. One is being built for this campaign. The other I started on years ago. I figure I'd finish it alongside the one for this campaign. I plan on using both bikes as accessory pieces in a diorama for the Blitz 4 Campaign.

It's an old kit and, as John noted, it's pretty crude. For what I am using them for I can depict a motorbike platoon for the price of some of the other bike kits. I'm going to try to add a few tidbits to help it look a little better. Small stuff like the fender supports, brake & clutch levers/cables, and suicide shift linkage.

Hi,I began by detailing the brake cables, carburetor, the spark plug wire, the decompressor on the cylinder head. it took me two hours. I think it will start at first kick.

Hi to everybody,

I would like to know if this kit would qualify to the campaign. As you can see in the photo only part of the wheels of LionRoar's BMW R75 with sidecar have been done. In the case it wouldn't qualify I will buy a new one and take the wheels from it. I have the pieces of the different steps in zip bags because it takes far less space and it was the kit I took with me when my company sent me to work to China but as you can see in the different photos they haven't been trimmed or cut the attaching points to the sprues to the minimun.

In this photo you can see more easily what was done before the campaign started.

I will be using LionRoar's kit and will use parts of Tamiya's BMW to backdate it to an early model serving in the Afrika Korps since LionRoar is a mix of early and late model features. I also have Italeri's BMW with sidecar and as I build LionRoar's BMW will see if I need any part from it.

In the step of the engine I took the piece with the chair and made the hole to make it more authentic.

Best regards,
Angel

Very nice update Angel !
Very small PE parts you got there... I would loose some bits very easily...

I finished my Zundapp by the way,

Here goes

Tamyia kit, Tamyia & Vallejo paints and weathering done with Tamyia products too.

hi Anmoga, yes use that kit, no point in buying another kit just for the wheels.

Thanks Paul.

It was a cool and quite simple build, these old Tamyia kits have fewer parts but a nice detail for it's age.

Thank you Fred. I am not an expert on bikes. For me, a motorcycle "modern" resembles another motorcycle.

This biker could be very tempted by this campaign!

Fred I think the bike from the DML kit is a kawasaki KLX 650?

Your biuld is coming along very nice.
I just spotted on your first pic, next to the driver's seat it looks like there a grey (plastic) unpainted area, or is it the lighting/ flash..
