Jeff and Gary thanks guys ! I am really enjoying this little armoured 4 x 4 !
Antoine great work and Jon - I like both of them !
paint work is just as simple
I just used these 2 colours - the flesh added to the OD to make a lighter mix to create artificial highlights
you can paint entire body work and put the glazing in later - saves a lot of work masking
decals next after a coat of kleer
I know the armoured glass does not look opaque on this shot - but once you put it all together and the inside is dark
best

Jon,Mark,
Looking Good!
I am thinking about installing an interior to my M1132, I picked up Trumpeters M1129 and can use the interior parts as a template and I have some Talon robots coming.
Cheers Rob.

You can't build one kit for two campaigns. It would be OK if you were building two kits - one for each campaign.

Gary,
I think what Muhammad is doing is building the LVT for this campaign and will then add the Santa kit to it for the Modeling a Photo 2 campaign

Small update tonight, as all I have left are the crew and tracks and pull it all together on the Bradley.
The crew assembled, cleaned up and primed:
And the tracks. I sprung for the AFV Club Bigfoot workable tracks. Cleanup is minimal, and quality is typical of AFV. I love these things!
Will let the guys dry out and then get to slappin' some paint on 'em!

Work is progressing...
I'm just not happy with the looks of the LVT. I need to weather it better, more chipping and better rust effects. I am tempted to just repaint the whole thing!
Any advice or help would be appreciated!

It is still the same model being used for two campaigns bud and which is not in the spirit of the campaigns.

Jeff - just read what you were saying about re-painting - I would say no dont do it ! the base paint is fine ! just get the oil paints or enamels out and add some weathering layers. If you want quick chips get some fine packing foam dab in some brown acrylic paint , blot it , and then apply very gently and carefully to the EDGES - it will work !!

@ Mark C
I LIKE that little JGSDF 4x4. It just screams cool.
As for the Verlinden figgies, they are close to 20 years old (cast in 1994) and had one or two bubbles and some slight gaps in the arm/torso joins. The pictures are close cropped from my 14MP DSLR (instead of going all macro on 'em) and showed off some good detail. And that I need to resand the bino holding crewmember's left arm by the elbow. It's a bit rough!

I have no problem with the LVT being in both campaigns as long as the leader of the "Modelling a Photo 2" accepts it as a modification of an existing build..

Hi guys,
Back from a camping trip and this evening I have managed to start painting. First up was some pre-shading followed by the coat of dark yellow. Hopefully later this week I will find some time to carry on.
