Phil get the Russian text checked as it is often incorrect. That said I really like the work you have done here.
The penultimate letter of the cursive writing should be a "H", however I think you would fix it in a quite easy way if you wanted
Anyway, a great job! it looks outstanding
...well in my opinion T-55 isn' t just a tank. Actually it is THE TANK...

GOOD GOD! why haven't tought of that!
As you can see on this pic:
wich is, I assume, correct. There is a h like character before the y (on the second line of the long text). Well it ain't on the decal
Tough easely corrected...Why they got it wrong? If I can get it right in 5 min.... Anyway. Thanks a lot Darren. I've corrected the situation!

Thanks Gary!
For the c.a. issue I've only shot some gloss...
Seemed to work so I went on hehehe! I've finished the pin wash and laid a crosed coat of flat coat. Of course I've touched uo the text to spell ``Beat the fascist vermin`` correctly. The flat coat is not all that flat, I want to see if the filters are going to spread differently than on a completly flat finish. I hope they'll grab a little on the cracks and bumps creating a bit more modulation. We'll see...
This may be my last update for a couple of day since I'm going to shoot a art documentary up north for 3 days. So se you all next week and happy modeling.
Thanks for watching and comments.

My quest went great
Putting some logs in the stove and drinking some beer..and irish whiskey. Ho! Also starting to film a documentary
Even if I've been cheating modeling with art...(wich is pretty damn close in several ways but a world apart imo)I,ve acheived some progres this week. Here is a sneak peak on the 4 filters and pigments.
2 coats of burnt umber filter and 2 coats of cadmium primary yellow.
Now you gents comments!
Thanks for watching.

@asmodeuss – Philippe,
Another fine build, good save on the super glue mishap. Outstanding color you’ve achieved on both the vehicle and tracks. The soot at the end of the main gun looks very convincing too. The filters have brought the base color to life, giving it that authentic WWII Russian green – at least to my eyes!
Oh, and excellent amount of track sag. Will you be adding any dirt to the running gear?
Thanks for the inspiration, need to get back on my 72nd scale KV-220 build.

Funny, you were worrying about one single letter when the whole slogan on the right side is incorrect
You cannot say "фашистскую гадину! Бей" in Russian language. Not to mention the exclamation mark in the middle of the sentence and the final words starts from the capital letter.
But then... 99% of your audience wouldn't know that anyway
Nice build otherwise!

I think I know what has happened. They have made the decal on the right side mirroring the slogan written on the left side. They only had original pictures which depicted the tank seen from the left...and of course, unfortunately they don't speak Russian

@ Gary
Thanks bro! I've used black pigments dilluted in spirit for the exhaust soot. I'll seal her up and next come chipping and stains.
@ Eddy
Thanks a lot you are always a great help. I will get the running gear dirty with the oily pigments on a brush thing
Now you get back on your sweet kv-220 build!!
@ Alex
You are soooo corect...I got to learn russian, I didn't even notice it was inverted
Another tip up my sleave it seems. Thanks for the heads up.
@ Mauro
It looks they just fliped it.... Keep that sharp mind of yours mate, it's always usefull around newbs like me!

Here is the step one of two or maybe three of the chipping on the hull.
I'll get some darkened base color on the edge of the black chipping and if I can have a answer to this question: what color was the primer? Mauro, Alex. I'll get some as well.
Thanks for watching.

Very nice work overall. Chipping looks great, but i really like the shade of the Russian green.
My work.
