Thank you very much John!
The mix is good old tam nato green with yellow green mixed in about 90% nato green and 10% yellow green. Afterward its how much preshade you had and filters (home made).

Hey my friend,

Are you talking about the dirt on the tracks and hull? If so, i think it was Mig Gulf War Sand and Europe Dust mix with GW Sand being the majority of the mix. I applied it mixed with Mineral Spirits - like a wash. Hope that helps Phil.

@asmodeuss – Philippe,

The chipping looks good to me, I like the contrasting light green scratch marks coupled with the dark armor and metal exposed chipped areas. This is starting to look used and abused!

Located your first installment on this build log and read through it, lots of good information and links there. Oh, thanks for the tip on the round curve forming PE tool, need to add that set to the workstation.

Glad to see I’m not the only one when it comes to having a workbench dog, I’ve got two of them! Their both also attracted to sounds that occasionally emit from the bench and the smaller female one (4lbs & 41/2lbs Chihuahua’s) sometimes needs to do some crawling and barking – thinks there’s a bug on the bench with me that might do me harm, hihi. BTW mesh screen on the way as of tomorrow.

Thanks a lot Eddy!
The pe tool will surely come handy on your workbench it is already usefull on mine.
Thanks for the mesh my friend I'll put it to good use
The dusting is done and i'm waitting for a good idea for mud aplication...I want to add a little, not to much. aybe to recreate a tank who have been in mud but that have not move for a couple of day in seering hot sun...thus very dry mud in small clumps.
Any idea?

Workbench pets are great.. But BEWARE of evil workbench cats
and their incridible appetite for plastic!

You all have a nice one.

Ok...I might have finish this one. I just want everyone to tell me one thing they would fine tune or somthing I forgot to do. D'ont be shy, this is the sole pupose of this thread.

I'll maybe put it on a dry brick road base thus, the bare metal tracks and dusty look. No mud splash...Not sure yet.

Thanks for comments

Looks great!! The only thing that may be a concern is the exhaust carrying down the side of the hull, on the left side. If the exhaust was immediately next to the side of the hull, I could see it as happening. Do you have a photo reference showing this?

Phil I have enjoyed watching this model take shape and the minimal participation I had in it. Great work.

I think you've done a great job Philippe!

The only doubt which I have is about the exhaust stains. Maybe they look a bit too dark. Some dark brown stains would probably have been better. Such a black stain would have mean that the engine has burnt off

Anyway, I think my opinion sounds like a lazy observation. Your job is outstanding indeed, especially your chipping.

Now it may be great to set your tank in a diorama

Congrats and thanks a million for sharing

@asmodeuss – Philippe,

For me this is the best rendition that I’ve seen done with this very popular kit. Very inspirational!

Thanks for posting and sharing your build Philippe and thanks to everyone that participated with feedback and information, making this blog an enjoyable and educational experience for all.

I'm nearing completion on my Pz.IV G. I have a Pz.IV E that I have finished building. I'll throw some paint a weathering on it, today and post some photos tomorrow.

Thank you all guys! without the peeps from Armorama it would have been a really ordinary build!
@Darren, Thanks bud, I'm always thrilled to have you along my thread your keen eyes always find a usefull point to underscore.

@Mauro, The intel man! I'll make sure to adres the soot situation before calling it done! Thanks bro. Btw I will soon start a t-72 with lotsa goodies, I'll keep you posted.

@Eddy, WOW Thanks for a very sweet comment!Your masterfull braille scratchbuilding were very inspirational for me, the merkava is a sweet bad ass machine. I've got a polish town house from miniart that I was supposed to use as a dio for a flakpanther. Built it but it is still on the primer, maybe I'll give it a go for a dio.

@Matt, Sweet! I was wondering when you would post update, I just love your pz IV and thanks for the support and tips.

I'm eager to see it Phil! It's a Tamiya t-72 isn't it? Have you got some Miniarm stuff?

Sorry for the Ot but I hope my busy job will allow me to share some of my projects with you guys. I'd say that It's quite frustrating looking at your really stunning jobs and not having enough time to make some progress with my builds

Anyway, congrats again and many thans also for the inspirations that you job has given me
