small update on the diorama...my first dio with buildings we'll see how it goes!
first I had to make a sidewalk based on polish city of tarnopol
Made it about 1 1/2 feet larger than the balcony. I've used a old styrene sign that I took from where I work
Glued 2 pieces together waited till it cured and scored the sidewalk as it would have been of stone or concrete.... just kept the feel of the era.
then carved the back edge to fit the contour of the miniart building.
I seriously need some feedback since I feel i'm improvising on this dio thing
Phil.

Phil the slaps seem very large as they would be about 6'6'' square judging by the size of the door which would be a pain to lay, otherwise I like where you are going.

Yes indeed they are big...concrete sidewalk it'll be hehe...Maybe I'l carve a tile pattern but, I haven't found any that please me. If someone has pics, please do share!
I've primed the base of the diorama to see where I need to patch the infamous miniart joints...starting to look like something.
So?
Phil.

Phil I am not sure that concrete paving was common or even used during WW2.

One of the stock plastic manufacturers sells A3 sheets of paving, brickwork, and road surfaces, however I cannot remember which one it is. I think it was evergreen but as I said I can't remember for sure.

After staring at numerous fuzzy pics of polish sidewalk of the 40's they seem to be uniform on the inside. no separation.

Here is a link to the diorama build log. I've decided to start a new log since it will be a first for me.
