The markings look great! How did you achieve the faint effect?

Russel, when do you plan on adding the tracks? I've always found that it's so much easier to blend them into the over weathering once they've been installed.

Russ,
There is no other casting mark on the glacis of a Continental hull. There has been enough discussion here and there that it will look too obvious. Admittedly, even some magazine articles show the General Steel mark in error, but you should be able to just pop it off and re-texture the area. Just a thought. The model looks nice, nearly out of the box.

Matt, thanks. I used a white drafting pencil, than a very light shot of clear flat.
Joel, tracks are usually almost last. They will be painted and weathered separately, reason being that they are in motion, and would not show the same degree of dust and dirt that would collect on the hull or turret, unless the vehicle has been parked for a period of time.
Tom, thanks, I popped the foundry mark off the hull earlier, left it one the lower part of the trans cover. Still in error?
Gentlemen, thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated.

OK, still at it.....
With dust wash applied:
And cleaned up:
I'm down to a few bits and pieces and I will call this one done. A TC is the only fig I'm planning on, so somethng I have in the stash should work fine.
Thanks for looking, as always.

No error, the marks for the diff cover are accurate. Russel you have done a fabulous job and she looks great. I also would like to know how you faded the markings, everything looks top notch. I am blown away that you got these results without an AB. I love it.

Pedro, thank you.
The markings (with the exception of the number plates) are all done with a white artist's pencil, over a clear flat to give the pigment something to stick to. I then lightly wipe them with a dry cloth towel to "blend" them, and then a quick shot of clear flat to seal them.
I should go ahead and finish this one soon, but dang it, I started a kit bashed M50 yesterday.....

Nice work. I'm just building this kit too at the moment. Need to get one of those pencils.

Thanks, Jim. It's a very nice kit. I plan on keeping at least one in the stash as a basis for any number of conversions.

Very nice work, Russel. I especially like the stowage tied onto the rear hull. The barbed wire, on the front is a nice touch. I've often wanted to do this, but haven't managed to build a vehicle on which it would be present.

Thank you, Matt.
I've seen the brackets on the hull front, both with and without the barbed wire, on lots of pics of M50s and M51s, and thought it would make a nice addition. I'm guessing it's used for a night time perimeter boundry.

Russel, followed your build from the start. A really rock solid build.
