Jacques Littlefield was always a good friend to the Patton Museum. We are all grateful that his fine armor collection has found a good home.

I arranged for Goody to be driven out to the flight line when the B-17 landed, he boarded the plane and it taxied in to the Aviation Museum where Scotty and I "covered" the arrival of the General as WWII 165th SPC photographers. The real press loved it and a photo of all three of us appeared in the local newspaper that evening.

A little background on some of our members:
Daryl was an Army Combat Photographer and Recon Tech in Vietnam. Mike has over 18 years as a professional photographer and darkroom tech.

By the following year our joint collection had grown considerably:



We by now had two wall tents, two fly tents, a number of uniform displays, an mobile office, period cots, an Officer's Mess and, oh yeah, MORE cameras!
That is Andy Rowden giving a presentation to some Patton Museum visitors! Andy was our newest member and then Director of the Scottsburg, IN. Heritage Center & Musuem and well as Director of the Scottsburg Library System.

Created back in 2001 from a photo Bob Decker took at a Patton event but still very timely this December!

Interesting story; At one of our reenactment events in the Chicago area we were lucky to meet a retired photographer who served in the 167th, Joseph Karr. His very first words to us were "you reenact what I did!" One thing we asked him was about our crates. He told us we were spot on with these. He said when his unit was told that they were shipping out for Europe they were ordered to go to the base carpentry shop and to build their own crates for shipping the photographic equipment to England. Hence no two crates were built the same and all were stenciled differently!

When it came time to move on to France the earlier stencils were marked out, the crates were resealed and then marked for forwarding.
