Repairs to the Pz III amounted mainly to cleaning, proper lubrication and new radiators. Two Mercades radiators were secured (they were almost a drop in replacement) and the AFV was on its way to a renewed life!

Michael,

Great gig and you are a great photographer! Thank you for posting these!

I've been there thrice. Hope to travel to the new home someday.

Those M1s on the gunnery range tripped a memory: back in 1975, a friend of mine and I (with parental guidance) were allowed on a range that looks a lot like the ones the M1s are on. There we watched a towed 20mm Vulcan send 3 bursts into a jeep; an M109 (without any "heads-up!") send two 155mm rounds downrange. We were probably within 20m of the M109 - the first time I was too stunned to look for the impact!

Isn't this a 76mm easy 8?
I always thought that the jumbo designation was for the armored up storm tanks. Once again it proves I'm never to old to learn something new. I love these pictures and always looking forward to the next edition thank you so much.

You are totally correct - I was more involved in doing color work on the photo than I was in paying attention to what the photo was of! Sorry. I would like to correct the caption but my editing time for that post has expired.

Besides I knew good and well that the Jumbo was blocked in over at the LST building at that time!
