hello!
The info I have is that it was adopted by the Ukrainian army a few years ago (can't remember the date for sure, but I think it was in 2009), but very few have been delievered, since the priority -- up til now -- was the export market (Thailand bought 50).
The French magazine Raids nº335 (http://raids.histoireetcollections.com/publication/3281/raids-335-avril-2014.html) has more precise info about the state of the Ukrainian armed forces, but they also can't precise the number of Oplot.
If you need info about the Oplot feel free to send me a message I will send you a file with it (after Monday).

Hi guys, it was exam time so I didn't have time to search for new pictures during the last week. I noticed that I crossed the bandwith limit on photobucket but I wanted to keep this thread running so I upgraded it, no there should be no problem with hosting or sharing these pictures.
Kind regards, Sven.

Some pictures, I wanted to post a long time ago.
Voronezh, the beginning of the March. May be, some of these machines could be seen at photos from Crimea:
Bloody russian occupants against citizens (the beginning of an April):
"Which bus could I get to Sevastopol by?"
May be, "polite people' will be interesting for you too:
I saw, somebody has already produced figures of them, but I have lost those photos and information... I will post it, if you want, as soon as possible. Need to find it again.

CNN had some video of Ukranian tanks with interesting camo. I couldn't tell what they were (maybe T-64 or T-80?) but some of them didn't seem to have any reactive armor. I am trying to find pics but so far, nothing.

Hi Guys, I found some new images. These are all Ukrainian vehicles, some are however captured by Pro-Russia activists (you can recognize them by the ribbon of Saint George).
Also if someone is interested in more on this topic, VICE has a series of videos that are posted quite often on their Youtube channel : https://www.youtube.com/user/vicenews/videos
(Russian Roulette is the name of the series).
Kind regards, Sven.

Has anyone seen the digital camo that's on that BMD-1P on any other Ukrainian vehicles? If Panda puts out a BMD-1P after their initial BMD-1 kit I think I know how I'm going to paint it.

From the pictures I've seen so far no other vehicles have such camo, but with the increasing number of vehicles coming to Eastern Ukraine we will soon see if there are other vehicles painted in that Digital camo.
I can't wait for the Panda kit (anyone knows the date??) to come out and make a small diorama depicting a scene from Ukraine. Hope all goes well there and that the conflict will end soon.
Kind regards, Sven.

You'll have to be careful in regards to the version the Panda kit represents. Its an early version that still has the rail launched Malyutka. I've only seen the later P version with the pintle mounted missile on the roof in Ukraine.

It seems like the captured AFV's have big green rectangles painted on all over them.
I guess it's probably to hide the various markings of their former users

No sir. Goto the first post with all the pictures. Second to last picture is it. Looks to be a 152mm towed by what looks like a URAL truck.

Yeap, it's a MSTA-B. I did detective googling to find it prior to returning to this thread. Thanks for the ID on the Kamaz.
