The airborne equipment set is EXCELLENT. The sprue for the bicycle is marked DioPark, and the carrier pigeon looks suspiciously like the bird included in the Riich livestock set. You can depict the PIAT as loaded with a round or with the operating rod extended from the launcher, and the drop containers/panniers are very nicely done. Definitely worthwhile if you're doing anything involving Arnhem.

I happened across a page on Facebook that contains pics of the blueprint drawings for all the mods made to British Airborne jeeps. The page is called British Airborne and SAS jeeps, it's run by a Dutch vehicle collector, and in addition to the blue prints he's got a nice selection of pictures of the jeeps in use during Market Garden. I thought I'd let everyone know about it, it could be pretty useful for anyone considering a jeep build for the campaign.

Any link John?

Rob Van Meel's book is an excellent resource, including placement of the vehicles and loads within the Horsa

http://www.robvanmeel.nl/

With all these super Bronco releases there should be plenty of choice on the airborne side anyways.

Some of the drawings are not in the Baan/Van Meel book - such as the repositioned spare wheel carrier.

Ooops, forgot the link, sorry about that. Thanks for the reminder, Alan. Of all the things I've lost in my life, my mind is the one I miss the most! You're right, the Van Meel book is an excellent resource. I finally managed to find a copy in stock at Portrayal Press yesterday and jumped on it. I was searching for the book when the link to the Facebook page came up on Google.

Well, forgetting all about the campaign I had gone ahead and built that Tasca Luchs I was going to build. Now I'm up to the painting stage in that build and is no longer any good for this campaign. I still have that SiG-33 and a Kangaroo. Does anyone have a link to any site or any book that would have a good list of vehicles used during Market-Garden?

Mike I don't have any reading material yet on just Op. Market Garden, I generally just google it and go from there. If you want to build a diorama with say another small vehicle or 5 or 6 figures I will let you in with the Luchs as long as you send an unpainted picture on start day.
I know in Oosterbeek there was a Panther and a Tiger present when the Brits were attempting to hold the village.

I'm chomping at the bit to get going on this... since my project is an American medical jeep and I have the need to build something airborne related I've been working on that Bronco equipment set I scored to remove the temptation. The Masterbox set of late American paratroops with the civilians has shown up on Dragon for pre-order, it comes with the car as well.

I have a quick question. Were Firefly 1C hybrid hulls deployed to OP Market Garden? I have one in my stash and would like to get to work on it.

Still planning a kit bash of the Italieri medical jeep with the Tamiya done up as a jeep from the 307th Medical Bn. in Nijmegen. If I have enough time and Bronco cooperates with releasing its' jeep and pack howitzer soon I might embark on a second project as well.

I'm still in. I'll be using Tamiya's Universal Carrier to depict a vehicle I've got a few pictures of that I've always liked.

XXX Corps are warming up their engines and I'm still not sure if I'm in with a Radschlepper?

Hello everyone!
i'm in this campaign with Tiger 131 of Panzer Kompanie Hummel in Arnhem.
I have a old Academy kit in my stash since 5 years so i decided to use it for this project.
Assembling will be generally OOB with some adding like clamps ,metal gun barrel and Friulmodel tracks.

Now i'm waiting end of the month to begin works

Andy
If you can verify that a unit was using that somewhere along the line of the route, or was based close to any of the fighting I accept. A bit of research and you might find one was involved.

I have just bought a magazine that is on Market-Garden Matt and again there is a IC in there too so good to go.

I don't want to exclude anyone from this build as it's about having fun, but all builds should be relevant to what was there around the time of the Operation.

Thanks guys.

Oh and there is only 5 days to go woo hoo.

Now, to source the decals. I'm surprised at the lack of options for Op Market Garden. As in, there are none except for a staghound.
