Howdy Paul,
Sounds like a good choice, I'll enjoy watching your build. I'm leaning toward one of the 1/48 kits-the Tiger I or the Sturmtiger.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

Don, I have a friend who built the Tiger and absolutely loved it. Hopefully, your experience with whichever kit you choose will match his. I'll be watching to see how it turns out!

Great excuse to start the M115 8 inch Howitzer to go with my nearly complete M4 HST! Have the Master's Productions replacement wheel set, too.

Got a small amount done on the Stuart V. Very nice detail so far, but definately requires a lot of test fitting and trimming for a good result. I'm also really surprised at how many sink marks and ejector pin marks I've encountered. Still, once business is tended to, the resulting assemblies are super.

Haven't had a chance to start mine yet; trying to finish a kit I'm building for a friend and I have a 1/32 Hasegawa Ki-61 I started right after I finished a Bf 109G-6.
The box is behind me, waiting for an opening on the table, so I've got that far at least.

David,
Once you get the hang of soldering, you will wonder how you ever dealt with photoetch before. Assemblies are so much stronger than you can get with CA glue they are much easier to handle and fit. Have fun!

Excellent. I have this kit. it'll be good to see how it goes together. I'm building the Bussing Nag This is my first AFV kit. The detail looks good and the sub assemblies look airbrush friendly. time to get started, maybe after a few beers........
