@Cristian, Thanks! Yes it is an ammo box. Whether it makes it onto the final model is yet to be determined. I had to anneal it to get the hinges to work so it is very fragile compared to most soldered PE parts. We'll see how installation and alignment goes.

All,

I have been watching all the great building and have finally dug out of storage my numerous boxes of models and have three AFV kits from which to choose the first build:

- M10 Tank Destroyer
- M113AT Fire Support Vehicle (Australian medium recce vehicle)
- YPR765-PRI - IFV based on M113 chassis for Dutch Army

Request input fro everyone on which to build first.

I think the 113AT or the YPR. No one is doing a 113-based vehicle.

@ Jeff, I'm sucker for the entire M-10 line... I plan on doing an Academy M-10 17pdr Achilles for the 750+ campaign, so the AFV Club M-10 gets my vote.

@ Kevin, Thanks! I'm probably posting too many pics, but seeing others post updates on their progress keeps me motivated on these campaigns, so I try to do the same for them.

Well finally came across a fit problem with the Matador, seems the doors are too short. Now knowing the kit shares parts with the later version, I am wondering if that has anything to do with it. So, a strip of .015 styrene fixed the issue.



Also now full speed ahead, DEF wheels have arrived, and just finished other campaign. Well unless something else happens to "fall" onto the bench....

The kit comes with vinyl rubber, and they look a little over sized. The DEF wheels look great, with better surface detail and tread detail.

Dustin- You might want to check about the periscopes around the commanders hatch. Can't remember if they install from the inside or the outside. If from the inside you might have a bit of trouble once she's all closed up. Easy mistake to make but if they install from the outside then no problem.

Thank you for that heads up Armorsmith. I just laid the upper hull on to take the picture. It's not glued on.

But you were right about the wheels being level. These aren't... And I'm not quite sure how I could have changed that, seeing as how all the attachment points have pins/holes. Oh well.. Looks like this will have to go on a small dio base.
