Nice find, but not former German army. The Bundesgrenzschutz (Federal Border Protection) was a police unit attached to the Ministry of the Interior, though they did have some military equipment, even camouflage schemes (the venerable Splittertarn and Sumpftarn) and partially compbattant status. The notorious anti-terror unit GSG-9 is an offspring of the Bundesgrenzschutz.

As the border protection has lost its relevance in the Schengen context, the unit was renamed "Bundespolizei" (Federal Police).

It's just that I like to think of myself as knowledgable in terms of German army armored vehicles, so I was confused and had to look it up
