hi guys -
Robert - your green monster is getting there! I can at least see the shades through the green - I don't think I can do that - just not in enough control of my airbrush - looking forward to seeing the next steps -
Angel - wow! the compressor is looking great - really a pleasure to see! too bad - we'll need to wait a while to see it painted - though, it looks great as is!
I'm still building, but almost done -in fact, ideally off to the paint shop in the next few days. Its funny, I've worked a lot on this in the last few days and you can hardly see that I accomplished anything! But - I did - the operators cab for the boom, some ladders, more hydraulics, etc etc - Please take a look:
And there you have it - only change since, I realized the roller fairlead on the boom looked ridiculous - so, it's not there anymore...
Thanks for having a look!
Cheers
Nick

on the Komsomolet - it will have Stuka zu Fuss mounted and german markings (captured vehicle so green with Russian markings painted over in some paint germans would have had at the start of Barbarossa (grey??))

Nick, just phenomenal. That is all I can say.
Robert, Kermit is nicely wet, fresh from the pond (or sweaty from running away from Miss Piggy ). Looking really good. One suggestion, maybe see if you can push a pin through the parts of the mesh screens to open up the blocked areas. Being such a large area it pulls your attention.
Angel, only 13 days of deliberation left....

all,
Nick - very impressive with the amount of skill shown with your build (always seems a shame to cover these types of build with paint ).
Angel - love the work you have put into your build, my hat is off to those that work in the mid-scales.
Rob - keep at it, appears to be one those paint job's where nothing seems to go to plan then bang it all comes together.
To all the other campaign members don't forget to show a bit of your progress/skills. Some of us need a bit of motivation and it's always good to share hints and tips in the dying art of scratch building .
No real progress from me, did manage to find some bits of plastic so threw some glue at them and hoping they might look like something useful in the morning .

I would say only 8 days of deliberation left, Peter
Yet no decision was met in the 5 days, that passed

Star Decals - Hungarian Uprising - applied. Supposed to represent a Hungarian Army tank in Revolutionary hands. I want to put a white stripe the length of the tank (usually down the center so not sure it will work with the lights) and may try to hand paint a slogan as well but that can wait. Still not sure on the skirts but they are being painted up anyway. If I dont use them I may use them as tests for rust weathering

Looking good, Robert!
The painting technique you applied is really paying off.
I'll try it out on the inside of my compressor trailer,

Hello, everyone!
After a few days working on my project in the campaign, I came to this stage in building it.
Here's some photos.
There is still a little work on the interior, finishing the doors and closing the car with its top.
Good luck to everyone.

all,
Thought I'd better set off a paint bomb to see where I'm up to so:
and the other night I'd found some bits of plastic so threw some glue at them and this appeared in the morning:
Just hoping the same sort of thing happens with this pile of bit's:
Cheers for having a peek. And don't forget to point out any faulty work.

Roger, there seems to be a llama photobombing your pics. Maybe it built this overnight! Can I borrow it?
Whenever I spill glue on plastic, it sure does not come out like that. Excellent work.

Howdy gents - -
Robert, nice results with the painting technique - Maybe I'll get brave and try that one day - -
Kalin, hi - wow, the interior looks great - very convincing work there!
Hi Roger - lots of nice, clean parts going on there - looking forward to seeing them glued together!
Ok, please take a look, a completed KRAZ USM-2. I've got to say, this has been a fun build - in fact, the scratch part was much more fun that the Takom tractor kit, which just isn't one of their better kits to assemble - -
In any event, it was sunny a couple of days ago, so I took these:
And there you have it! As I mentioned, this was a good build - very challenging for me - all of it, even figuring out how to paint it!
Now - on to the next - I'm considering either another truck, or an all terrain cargo mover - but, am leaning towards a truck
ok happy model building -
cheers
Nick

Some nice work being done.
I am sorry about not posting any thing. To be honest, my T-55 based assault gun hasn't really looked like I want it to. After two different designs, I put it to the side to recharge before giving it another go.
I'll probably give it another go in the next day or so. I'm lowering the superstructure height and simplifying the front. I'm hoping it looks better and more realistic.

As the Mayor said to the show girl - take 'em off!!!
Excellent work on the painting Angel. You really need the panels removed to show off the craftsman ship.
