gloss drying on my first kit so starting the next. It's going to be based on the Mirror Models T-20 Komsomolet, not sure yet what the scratchbuild may be - I have photo evidence of an armoured rear (looks like a quad tractor actually) or may go for something WHIF an either Katyusha rails or Stuka am Fuss boxes... will have to see how the build progresses

Angel, wonderful work on your trailer, do the side door panels rest on a rail, or are they hinged and tilt up. Wondering if they hit the wheels if hinged......so probably on a rail of some sort....thanks.

Each door has two holes that accomodate two hooks mounted under the rail.To prevent door from tilting a loop from wire is mounted on the door's base-an "ear" soldered to the trailer frame goes through this loop and allows tying both with rope.
Additionaly-there are 2 hooks(similar to the ones that hold the side panels of German truck bonnets) per door,that hold the door closed.Hopefuly I created readable and understandable text...
I'm not sure I can replicate all these features on my trailer...

I managed to assemble the wagon, but unfortunately I will not be able to open the luggage compartment cover behind.

I think I came across some UM for Captured German Equipment.
Only need to find where they were- will see what I can dig up!

Maybe post in a separate thread request for them. Dragon did a 3 in 1 kit and if someone built the Pak 36 armed version they may be happy to part with the Wurfrahmen 40 frames and rockets. Other option is buy the Tamia kit with the pods on a frame:


There were 2 different types, one in a wooden frame, the other in a metal one.

Hi guys - well, I have an update with some headway on the build.

Angel, wow! thanks for the link to the manual! It of course poses some potential problems - first, I have access to it now...and the project is largely built; second - what happens if I find major mistakes in the build? do I tear it apart to fix it?

In any event, I'm planning to go through it an find out what I can - who knows? maybe I can adapt what I've already done? It will be interesting tho!

Hi Angel, the manual is great, and I really appreciate your sharing it with me! It’s very informative - it turns out I’m reasonably close as is. I only found one major blunder - I located the hydraulic ram for the crane in the wrong place - but, all things considered, I can live with it!

It turns out, there’s some sort of cable and pully system located throughout the frame - it appears to be used to support and maneuver the pile driver system. It’s likely too late to add much of this but I’ll check it out anyway. A variety of small details can be seen, as can a network of hydraulics - who knows? Maybe I can add more lines etc -

The trailer was built with 3 sub-assemblies:compressor,body and chassy.
Priming was easy, but painting will be quite challenging, for sure.
I have 2 weeks to decide what to airbrush and what to paintbrush.
