Hi, Robert!
Apparently you have great sympathy for the 8.8 cm Flak. Good choice.

Made a start yesterday.
My plan is to start with the base.
I'm very stupid keeping secrets, so here we go.
The photo shows what I'm aiming at.
Flatbeds being loaded with 88 guns.
This is the base I'm using. No Bronco yet... This is the Thunder Models SSYL Ru Köln.
Had a blast building this one, just a few hours work. Awesome engineering.
A belated kit on arrival, after more than 7 months, due to Covid.
And a very big thank you to Wear World from China for excellent service. Keeping me informed on progress for delivery over this period.
Next post.... The beautiful molded "Diamond Trucks".
After that.... The Bronco Game begins

Thanks Mike!
I need the Kasten- otherwise the KdoGer cannot be built in transport mode.
Woow Robert-the Dreaded Acht-Acht!
I was sure there would be some railroad machinery for suprise
Glad you're back, mate, and cross my fingers for the smooth start of your new factory operations!
I have had busy weeks lately, so I was not always in the usual modelling mood...
Still I managed to (almost) complete the build of the Entfernungsmesserkasten(rangefinder transport box) of KdoGer.40:
I need to add 3 more Griffon Models clamps to the back side of the cover, but this will happen some other day- today's result is 3:2 (3 clamps built for 2 clamps broken/lost during assembly)- a Pyrrhic victory...
I expect delivery of some Aber PE mesh to replace the wrong mesh Bronco supplied for the foldable screens, so next I'll build the body of the telemeter.

Robert, THAT is gonna be cool! Will there be two 88's on the flatcar as seen in the reference photo?
Angel, I can say "Acht-Acht" all day but "Entfernungsmesserkasten" goes beyond my current pronunciation capabilities! However, I will say... The range-finder-transport-box-container-carrying-stowage-case-thingy is Wunderbar!🍺

Hi Dan. So far I build 3 different models, including their new tracks. But I'm not that enthusiastic anymore on the quality of the plastic. Detail is good on the outside, under the loading bed there is an empty canvas. Which I do like, but is time consuming. Parts need a lot of cleaning, not easy. Thunder Models stole my hart, as they provide all I want to see on a rail road model.
For tracks I definitely go for the MiniArt. Sabre did a good job replacing their old chunky solution, came with better detail on the mounting plates and bolts. But the wooden sleepers are off IMHO.
Back to Topic.

Thanks Mike and Peter!
Glad you managed to crack the Gallery and upload your pictures, Mike!
This week I built the body of the KdoGer.40 and did some surgery on its base.
I learned about some mistakes in kit's base thanks to posts and pictures from a new Kitmaker member-Roeland Aernoudts(Roelie).
Roelie's findings were confirmed by both pictures from the walkaround Carlos Martin(varanusk) sent me and the KdoGer.40 Manual, I have at hand.
So I tried to correct some of those mistakes:
-Cut and moved both rear support legs further aft.Trimmed the mounting hooks
-Built and added the instrument box, located in the rear under the platform.Added the bottom plate with an access hatch
-Built the cable connector box and test fitted it in the opening of the instrument box
This is how my KdoGer.40 looks now
Building the Sd.Anh.52 will come next,

Have a nice weekend.

I doubt that, Peter...
Even after 15 years in food retail, with emphasis on fresh F&V procurement, the only reaction I experience with broccoli(and brussel sprouts), is one of dislike... and disgust
No permission needed, Robert- my build is based on Carlos Martin's walkaround, Rouli's build pictures and some other sources.PM me when the time comes and I'll share all materials I have with you,

I have been working on the stowage for the A9 and doing a little more weathering.
A sneak peak - the tarp and 2 funnels I have made. Not sure which funnel I will use yet....

Hi Guys,
well i'm just about done constructing the actual bike... not sure if i will build the trailer that comes with it but i might, just have to wait and see how much time i have available.
so the upper part of the bike is being painted with grey car primer paint, the reason for this is that there are some PE parts and i want to make sure the top coat sticks to the kit and doesn't rub off of the PE metal.
the lower section has been painted black, i didn't bother with a primer coat as most of this is not going to be seen.
Mike i didn't paint this section black but actually used tamiya XF-85 Rubber Black which is my new default black and i feel it gives it a more natural look, let me know what you think.

Nice tarp and funnel, Peter!
Am looking forward to see which funnel will join your spare box
Nice progress too, David!
I use Mr.Metal Primer for priming PE parts. It is applied with brush so no AB cleaning and has never let me down sofar,

i use car primer paint from a can so not much cleaning up afterwards.
anyway, after my wife forced me to watch "too hot to handle" on netflix, i opted to build the trailer in order to save my sanity... these people in this show really makes me despair at the future of humanity.
anyway here is my progress on the trailer:

I am leaning toward the round one at present Angel, but the rectangular one will probably adorn the Sherman Crab I have yet to add stowage to and finish weathering.. so no spares box dust collector.
Ah the joys of marriage, especially newly weds.... bad news David, doesn't matter how long you are married, the "come sit with me and watch TV (a program that will make you want to use that Exacto for another reason)" doesn't go away....
The Quad is looking great

Nice work. I only use AV Dark Rubber for my black in all my work now. I might change to Tamiya's after seeing your results. My postings may have been a bit deceptive as I used Vallejo's black primer before I shot the Dark Rubber. I can't wait to see your build progress. You have inspired me to get off my butt and finish. Figures have bogged me down - a long story.

Long wait for weathering supplies ended. So I've weathered the lower hull and suspension of the KV85:
I've finished most of the weathering of the road wheels. I'll do a little more after I have the tracks attached. But I have the mud scaper finally glued on after attaching the drive sprockets, and all the wheels are glued on. Next will be the tracks.
It's good to be moving on this again.
