I'm a real newb here. I've had a login since 2015 but only became active here in the last month or so. I'm in the Bronco campaign and have signed up for the BoB campaign, but understand I'm new, so please forgive any errors in protocol with this....
But I'm wondering whether anyone else might be interested in doing a lend lease campaign. I don't know what to recommend for limits on scale, or subjects. I'm planning on doing a couple of lend lease tanks later in the year and am kind of amazed at what is available for those. I was actually also looking at a miniart D7 towing artillery. I'm pretty sure there were lend lease planes too but don't know much about that.
Tentative start June 1 ending at the end of the year. If others are interested, I'll try to draft up a proposal.
Thanks,
Phil

The concept is good, but bear in mind there are lots of other campaigns ending at New Year so time might be crowded.
I'd suggest allowing any scale.
If you get it going, I'm in!

I'm fine with making the end date later and now that you say that I realize I mistyped the start date - I was thinking July 1 but typed June 1. Maybe July 1 to the end of next February?

OK, there is some interest.
How does this sound for a set of rules? I borrowed Angel's list from his Bronco campaign. I'm open to suggestions about these.
Any lend-lease kit(be it armour, trucks, aircraft, ...).
[Lend-lease is broadly considered: USA to Soviet Union or UK, UK to Soviet Union, Canada to Soviet Union, USA to UK]
Any scale
Aftermarket allowed
Dioramas are allowed.
Kit build starts with Campaign start(no partially built kits allowed).
Finished Lend Lease Campaign entry is considered a kit, that is built and painted.Weathering is encouraged, but optional.
Build within the Campaign as many lend lease kits as you wish, still you'll only get one ribbon.
Start date: July 1
End date: Feb 28, 2021
Participants:
1. Phil2015
2. Barkingdigger
3. PasiAhopelto
4. k_mero4
5. justsendit
6. zontar
7. petbat
8. rivetcounter

That's 10. I'll submit it!

I've been thinking about a campaign ribbon for this, if we manage to get it going. I'd like something that somehow encompasses US, UK, and Canadian contributions. I'm also wondering if there is some way to customize the ribbon with adding an image of one's completed model. I don't really know, just thinking about both.

Hey Phil, It’s probably best to keep the design as simple as possible given limited space and low image resolution requirements. IMHO
Nonetheless, I really hope this campaign gains some traction! ... See what I did there? 😁

Hi. I'm a sucker for Group Builds, so I am in, but will be a late starter.
Q> Is the intent only USA Lendlease to Soviet Union, or you opening it up for any Lendlease e.g USA to Britain and the Commonwealth, Britain to Soviet Union, etc? It might see a wider variety of builds and more participants if it is more open.
As to the award - the system won't allow individual ribbons. It has to be one set award for all. It has to be in .gif format, 50 x 20 pixels and no more than 2.0 kb, the smaller the better.

I was planning on doing a British vehicle in Soviet service, so I was thinking about it very broadly. And yes, certainly USA to the UK. I will make that clear in the scope articulation which I will go edit right now.
On the award, thanks for the clarification, I will keep it simple. I'm open to suggestions about what to make it look like.

I could be up for this!
And you could do a post in the AeroScale Campaigns forum with a link back to here for those interested as well. Lots of aircraft were distributed through Lend-Lease!

You must have a big head then Kalin!
You can go even further than aircraft if you wanted to. Maybe allow trucks loaded with clearly marked foreign aid boxes, etc. Even Merchant ships off loading goods at port if someone was keen!!
