Hi Guys
I've been giving this a lot of thought over the last couple of weeks and what I propose is as follows,
Start date 01/01/2005
End date 05/31/2005
Any scale
Any Era
3 categories
1: Purpose built recovery vehicles,eg Challenger CrARRV, M32,Diamond T wrecker etc etc. Field Mods will be accepted as long as they are backed up with pics and will need some scratchbuilding/structural alterations.

2:Specialist/purpose built vehicles used by engineering battalions,eg dozers, bridgelayers, avre'setc.Again Field mods will be accepted with the same proviso's as above.

3:Fictional.Basically anything along a recovery/engineering theme as long as it's based on an existing vehicle/chassis and needs structural modifications.Just bolting on a dozer blade or winch will NOT be acceptable

Any decisions made by myself will be final.
A ribbon will be awarded to those that finish and I propose to set up a poll of members to decide the winner who will get a medal.
Your thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Pete

Ps My entry will be an Accurate Armour CrARRV .

I'd join this campaign based on the start/end date and as long as the silly rules are kept to a minimum.

Sounds good. I'll have to re-evaluate my schedule towards the end of the year when I start finishing my other dozen campaigns

Sounds good to me, Move It will be over by then and the Heavy Haulers will be more than underway.

I'm in. My next planned build is an M113A1 Dozer, so it fits right in.

I'm very interested in this one. Right now I'm thinking a Catagory Two, USNMCB Dozer, Grader, or High Voltage Boom Truck...

Chad, A famo with recovery gear fitted would be ok IMHO, as would the Dragon Wagon prime mover.

Cheers

Verlinden has a dozer with blade kit that looks kind of cool. If this campaign goes, please count me in.

OK, I'd like to reserve a spot.

I have 4 candidates, of which only 1 will be built:
-- Diamond-T wrecker
-- M1 Dozer
-- M26 (DW tractor)
-- and what I would prefer, the T-2 (M31) TRV

The problem with the T-2 is that I have done about 3% of the work already & then put it aside for other priorities. I'd really like to force this back to the top of the heap, so if I could get some dispensation for a kinda Le Mans start, I'd appreciate it ...

If not the T-2, then I may punt, or coin-toss over the Diamond-T and the Dozer .... too early to tell ....

PS: I have to admit to having a problem with category#3, Fictional -- I will leave it to you to keep it sane & sensible .... I'd almost rather it be replaced by a Civilian equipment category.

Hmmmmm. Would a mine clearing veh. be acceptable? A M60 with a mine plow? Or a M1 with Rollers? If not I guess I will build a IDF M113 Fitters Veh.

NICE, a mine clearing / detecting vehicle. I'd like to see someone scratch a Pookie. . .
