Ricky,
The M12 was a 155mm heavy artillery SP gun. Though I have heard of it being used to demolish tanks, it was not a true tank destroyer.
But then I better ask the rest of the crew. What do you say guys ?

good question...
is the 155 on the M12 capable of Direct Line of sight firing.. if so it might be considered being used sometimes as a Tank Destroyer.. though I think thats a reach..
If its only capable of only ballistic firing then its an artillery peice used to target tanks at a distance and not a TD..
my 2 cents anyways..

Ok Ricky,
I'm going to ok your M12 for entry into the campaign. Not that the M12 was developed to be a tank destroyer, but it was used in this role in a pinch. Like Sabot had told me, the M12 had better make that first round count! For if they miss, the return fire is going to get them. Welcome aboard Ricky!

Quoted TextDoes a Sturmgeschutz qualify?
Tom
Hello Tom,
I'm a O.D . kind of guy, just what is a Sturmgeschutz ? And was it used in a tank destroyer role?
Regards,
Garry
OK, Garry:
The Sturmgeschutz III was originally designed as an assault weapon, but as war progressed it became more of a defensive one. It evolved into an assault gun and tank destroyer in one. Its main role was to providing anti-tank support to the units in its area of operation.

Tell me what you think?
Tom
Ok Tom,
Go for it mate! And welcome to the campaign!
