Originally it started as a scout car (wheeled vehicle) group build, but the leader expanded the scope to include tracked recon vehicles (I guess an M3 series Bradley would count as well now).
.
SABOT,
I dont think the M3 Bradley would qualify as stated. Is refered as Cavalry tracked vehicle, although
could be scout ???? whada I know I'm an Aviator.....
they're all targets to me

Hey Brendan,
Besides the Bad Karma Rookie's, I like the pictures :-)
But serious, the pics are a bit vague, but for what I can see it's looking allright. Do you gonna use resin wheels or the ones from the kit?

I'm just going to use the ones from the kit this is my very first model so I'm just going to go easy on it. Though I might get a couple after market parts for the next model I'll be doing for the Burn baby, Burn campiagn. Now on to the pic's I'm sorry for the pic's of the ugly Mojo's but you know if your around a bunch of ugly guys it just makes me look so much better
naw I'm just joking those guys are my family, but back to the 222 I've done alittle bit more work on it so I'll see if I can get those pic's up tomorrow.

Also building the Italeri SdKfz 234/1. Got a late start on this one. I've got a "honey do" list as long as my arm.
Got the suspension done, some of the interior, with a shot of white paint. Currently working on the turret.

A 1/72 Hasegawa Sd Kfz 234/1
My progress so far:
It's only been 4 days and I'm almost done! It's amazing how fast you can build if you have a lot of time!
I have one question though. is the netting stuff that is supposed to go onto the turret absolutely nessesary to have on top of the turret? The reason why I'm asking this is because the netting part that came with the kit was like a piece of plastic with lines moulded onto them.

I am not sure, I might start today if I am fed-up with studying... Ugh... still three more weeks and the year is over... gt to keep studying...
I'll start with the turret I guess.. see what I can get done. I guess also another effort at soldering...
Ugh.. and found out the blast-set for the TD camapign will not arrive for at least three weeks....

Started on my dio/vignette of a Russian Ba64 b armored car. Its the AER kit and is really a crap kit, but the only plastic one out that I know of.

That "netting" is actually anti- grenade screen, and is made from fairly heavy wire. It should be there. you can get after market version of it, or make it your self from window screening.

Hey sticky.
Thanks for answering my question. Do they actually make screen mesh fine enough for that? I have no way of getting aftermarket stuff for it, and even if my Lhs had it it would be twice as much as it's worth.

Rob,
Take a good look arround for some alternatives, you be suprised what you can find there. :-)
As John mentioned; window screening.
Or perhaps a small piece of bandage, or some left over rostershields of a (1:35) kit.
They used the netting in situations they expected to be endangoured by grenades, but when they where working on the vehicle, loading up, or driving arround in parades (Germans did like that) I guess the netting was not in place or perhaps folded backwards.
I'm not sure about that, but it looks asumable.

Do you have a fabric store near you? If so, look for material called "tulle". It is what is used for wedding veils. Try to find it in black. The mesh should be small enough.
HTH
PS - Some craft stores also have this material

I thought it was time to post some progress shots of my Bren carrier. As you can see, it still has a lot of work to be done, parts that need painting before I put any more together. The brown doesnt really show as much as it seems in the photos, the light just shows it up a lot.
Full credit goes to Rommel and the German army of WW2 for the concrete it's sitting on, it was part of the Atlantic Wall.
Harsh criticism strongly appreciated.

I've been working on the chassis of the Esci M3 scout car while I wait for parts to dry on my Jagdpanzer IV. It is a pretty nice little kit. I will get more work done on it tonight while I wait for my winter white paint to dry on the JP.

The Lanchester is now in progress, but as I'm taking pics for an in-build review it's slower going than usual!

I've finished my Sd.Kfz. 234/1
But... The bad thing is that my Digi-cam decided to die on me. Now I have no way to take pictures now.

Nice work Danny!
I finnaly got to spray my SdKfz 232 6-rad today, together wit some other models. It's in the middle of the picture. (The right model is for the MM campaign and the left was waiting for 3 months to get sprayed...)
