The T-35 looks terrific. The Fruils also look good (weight) I guess. Which kit was this?

I particularly like the rivets detail. They stand out well.

Figures would lok good on this model I think. It's so large compared to the Tiger,

Nice builds Andy.

Thanks Tony
The T-35's an ICM kit, and the build was nice, with no major fit problems and hardly any filler :-) :-)
The Friuli's look really neat, and I will be using them again
There are a few more pics in my gallery
Andy
p,s. the Tigers not finished yet

Andy

I just wanted to comment quickly on the T-35---this is a nice build you've put together here

ICM---->I built a kit from them a while ago, and the parts were well molded, --but the directions were pretty sparse in spots--leaving part placement, etc, kind of up to the modeler (flying by the seat of your pants if you will). Anyway, this is a pretty cool tank here, and one I'd like to build, but my past ICM experience was not so good. How are the directions, part quality, etc on this kit. Is it a good/friendly build for a modeler?? Thanks.

Steve
ps: a fine fine job on the weathering/mud on this one --looks good!

Hi Steve
Thanks for the comments,
the kit I built was boxed as " IDK models" which I'm told is the old ICM kit, I think this is correct as the Eduard PE set (35 316) I used was ment for the ICM kit and fitted perfect, and the part #'s from both matched.
As for the instruction sheet...spot on

If you do get the ICM kit and you don't like the instruction sheet,I'll sent you mine
The moldings were fine, the hull top was a bit bent!!

but 5 mins with a bowl of hot water and a hair dryer sorted that
I replaced the gun barrels with Rubio's and the tow cables with Eureka xxl KV-1 cables cut to size.
Tools and clamps are a mixture of the Eduard set kit parts and brass wire
It went together fine,no problems
:-) so, go on, go get one! you know you want too!!
Cheers
Andy

edit...P.S this is the first ever kit I've built ( I've done a few in 35 years!!!!) where I have had to wash the parts before assembly,as they had quite a lot of oil/release agent on them!!!

my entry is almost done
here're the in progress photos of my build
for Armorama Big & Beefy campaign

It was the KV-1 Simplified Turret kit...with Lion Roar PE.

i decided to do a clean build this time. The kit was pre-shade with tamiya flat black + NATO black (1:1) ...then after the solid black is achieved, i painted with Gunze Sanyo Forest Green as suggested in the kit instruction. The layers of green were build up slowly to show the preshade effect beneath the green layer
Later, another think coat of gunze 73 green were sprayed ..

MrMetal iron was painted to the road wheels to show steel wheels....
the turret is glossy in this case due to the application of FUTURE prior to apply the decal.
I left the tow cable and tracks for painting....

more weathering next

another update

this time i installed the tracks.
The tracks is from the kit lenght and links tracks..

i painted with flat black and then weathered using black + brown and pastel chalk mix with tamiya thinner. This mixture is applied in random to simulate rust texture and rust color. After this is dried, i drybrushed with silver chrome to the high point..
next i install the track to the tank.

then i apply oil washes to the creves with black oil thined with mineral spirit...only minimal wash is done to the recessed lines and bolt details

enough story...here's the photos to share

I'm finished (or at least as finished as i will get this month!) and posted pics of my JS3 in the BnB gallery and the official finished thread.

Erm, This is my first campaign completion - do I need to do anything else to get the ribbon, or am I go to go now?

Again, congrats and thanks for being a successful participant in the campaign.

Strangely enough, it looks as if I AM going to finish... Got the decals on this afternoon and only left with some more weathering, a bit of highlighting, some pastels, and some DullCote...
