Well... bad news. I got some help on the marking for the Stug and found out that the 101 never went up against a Stug IV during Market Garden (at least none recorded). I was just going to stick with it, but I am instead going to buy a Koubelwagon tomorrow and use the base that I made (with some changes considering the track marks would be much smaller!). It may come down the wire so wish me luck! My history professors would slaughter me if I did something inaccurate and discovered it.

Haha well I scrapped the koubelwagon idea. I did not have the $20 I needed on hand and saw a rather cheap alternative. Without further adew... My WIP photos.

Sorry the photos are not very good! The paint and resin in some sections is not dry yet. I will place the 101 troopers when I get home from Florida monday. I will also be doing some work on the base. The pylons and gore needs some work to say the least. I am relatively happy with the mud and water. It is the first time I have used the resin water and Future floor stuff for mud... (first time I have done this much mud and water considering it is my second dio!!!!!)

Thanks for looking!

Great base, Mike. The mud and water effects are really convincing. The blood seems to be a little to bright red in my opinion. Maybe tone it down a bit. This will look great when finished.

I am looking forward to see more - thanks for sharing

Very nicely done Roy. Just goes to show that dios don't need to be massive to be effective!

Hey everyone this is my ebtry.

The helmets are bad... They did not fit well at all. Everything else built pretty well. The 101 troopers kit is from MB and the motorcycle is from Tamiya. I also made slings but they turned out pretty bad too... I am just going to leave them out and say they ripped off in the jump!

Feel free to add anything else. "Art is never finished, only abandoned!"

I've been having a think...which is rare for me. ...LOL.Mines about done and I'll post some pics later but some people haven't posted yet so I'm going to extend the deadline by a month in case they're struggling to get finished on time. Plus our medal ribbons vanished so I need to get that sorted out as well. Hope thats agreeable to everyone.

Hi there!

Is it too late to join this campaign?? I thought I could join today, and put on my completed diorama of German Paras attacking a bunker on Eben Emael.
If that is alright, and there is another month, maybe I can touch it up a bit better!

Well, here is my submission. I hope to have better pictures soon. I think the guys turned out alright, but the base and gun turret need a lot of work. Right after I took the picture, I knocked all the grass off...so I hope to fix these and get better pics up soon.

This is supposed to be "Coupole Sud" on the top of Fort Eben Emael in Belgium. It was a fort defended by about 800 Belgians and was taken by around 80 German paratroopers (brought in by glider) on May 10th 1940.

Coupole Sud was a dual 75mm armored turret, located at the southern tip of the fort. It could elevate out of the ground to cover 360' and fired on the Germans trying to cross the near-by bridges during the battle. It survived an attack with a 50kg hollow-shaped charge (portrayed here), and only stopped firing when the fort surrendered.

Any suggestions on how to imporve this one are most welcome!! Right now, it needs help...

Karl, thanks for the ribbon. It is very cool and one of my favourites

Steve-o, good job on the para attack on Eben Emael fortress. I would not like to be in that bunker - as it is just about to get messy

Thanks guys,

I think the bunker itself it a bit messy...I used a modeling clay I found at Hobby Lobby. I forget the type, but will check at home tonight. I wouldn't really recommend it as of right now, but it worked better than the other things I tried. the main problem is that it shrunk after I built it...and it threw the shape off a bit, and then the top half sagged, giving it the 'mushroom' look it now has.

Finally took some pics and found the right folder... I'm not entirely happy with the end result as I feel it lacks something. I know it lacks a roof...LOL..but I was happy with the inside of the building which was a b*tch to build. Any suggestions on improvements gratefully received

Oh almost forgot! It depicts elements of 506th 101st Airborne fighting through Eindhoven as part of Op Market garden Sept 1944. The bazooka team is engaging a fortified house which is off the dio while receiving covering fire from an assault team while POW's are being taken in the main building.

Very nice Karl. Been waiting a long time to see the final out come every since the post of the headless radio team . the wait was worth it though. Is it just me or do both of the wounded guys have the same head?
